Rolling Thunder, Inc. Chapter 3 Fl. We are a non-profit organization that raises awareness of the POW/MIA issue.

To educate the public that many American Prisoners of War were left behind after all previous wars. Local Rolling Thunder chapters organize and participate in events in their area such as bike rallies, poker runs, and visits to Veteran's hospitals in order to raise awareness for POW/MIA issues.

Why is there a lemon slice on an empty plate at military dinners across the country?

There's a place setting you'll see at bases, VFW halls, and ceremonies all week 🎖️ — set for one, and that one chair stays empty. On the plate sits a single slice of lemon.

It's not decoration. 🍋 The lemon reminds us of the bitter fate of those captured or missing in a foreign land while serving our country. Every part of this table is chosen on purpose — nothing is random, right down to the fruit on the plate.

This Friday, September 18th, is National POW/MIA Recognition Day 🇺🇸. All week I'll be walking through the Missing Man Table, one symbol at a time — because I think this is a tradition worth keeping alive, both for ourselves and for the generations coming up behind us.
