1st Lt. David P. Skjeie, a WWII pilot from Los Angeles, has finally been accounted for after his B-24J Liberator was shot down over Germany. Thanks to the unwavering dedication of , his remains have been identified and are returning home.​

This is a testament to the promise to never leave a fallen service member behind. Our hearts are with Lt. Skjeie's family as they receive closure. ​
