A slice of cramique, a little taste of history. Pâtisserie Hoffmann
Once upon a time in 1340, a great fair was founded that would go on to become one of Luxembourg’s most iconic traditions: the Schueberfouer.
Back then, there were no roller coasters or thrilling rides: the Fouer was first and foremost a large market, where people came to trade, meet and stock up on good things.
Cramique, this soft and brioche filled with raisins, is part of the tradition of local fairs and popular celebrations, deeply rooted in Luxembourg’s culinary culture.
Even today, a simple slice is enough to bring back a little taste of the fair, tradition and celebration.
