🌍 What an inspiring two days! 🗣️✨

On 28 & 29 July, young people from across Europe came together for the Online Transnational Debating Contest, where international youth teams presented their three final Policy Paper proposals. 📄💡

More than 100 youth representatives and stakeholders from 🇱🇹 Lithuania, 🇮🇹 Italy, 🇫🇷 France, and 🇨🇾 Cyprus joined the events to discuss, debate, and help shape ideas for a better Europe.

🗳️ Participants also had the chance to vote for their favourite Policy Paper, and the results are almost here...

🏆 The winners will be announced very soon! The finalist team will earn the opportunity to travel to Brussels this September to present their ideas. 🇪🇺

🔙 Last month our youth joined the first MAP Youth Mobility which aimed to explore how to navigate today’s digital world with confidence and critical thinking. 💡

Throughout interactive workshops, group activities, and intercultural exchanges, participants strengthened their skills in:
🔍 Identifying fake news and misinformation
🧠 Developing critical thinking and media literacy
🤝 Collaborating across cultures and perspectives
💬 Promoting ethical and responsible digital engagement

It was more than just a training, the mobility created a space where young people learned from each other, shared experiences, and built lasting international connections. 🌐✨

🎉 We just kicked off our first DEEP project activities!

In a world where emotions are often used to spread misinformation and shape opinions, DEEP helps young people build the skills to recognise manipulation, think critically, and make informed decisions. 🧠🔍

🤝 We have already engaged young people in focus groups exploring the emotional narratives behind disinformation and their impact on beliefs, trust, and decision-making.

🔜 What’s next?

🗣️ In-depth interviews – we will conduct individual interviews with selected participants to gain deeper insights into personal experiences, emotional responses, and the narratives that shape perceptions of information and trust.

📊 Analysis of qualitative data – by combining findings from focus groups and interviews, we will identify and map key deep stories, explore emotional patterns, and better understand how emotions can influence susceptibility to disinformation. These insights will contribute to the development of innovative approaches for strengthening democratic resilience among young people.

🚀 We’re excited to announce the kick-off of the DigiRes project!

🎯 The aim of DigiRes is to equip young people with the skills to navigate the digital world responsibly and foster healthy digital habits through balanced and reflective media use.

Our team is currently developing the Digital Resilience Framework, which will provide the foundation for a future Digital Resilience Toolkit. 📚

💡 The framework will address key aspects of digital resilience, including healthy screen habits and self-regulation, building positive online relationships, strengthening critical thinking and media literacy skills, developing self-esteem and self-awareness, and managing stress and digital overload in an increasingly connected world.

Through DigiRes, we aim to strengthen digital resilience, enhance media literacy and digital competencies, promote inclusion, and bring innovative approaches to youth work by combining digital education with experiential learning in nature. 🌱💻
