A Historic Day for Lesotho’s Poultry Industry! 🐣🇱🇸

​Today marked a monumental milestone in our journey toward food security and economic growth. We officially launched the Lesotho Poultry Industry Association (LePIA) and the Poultry Development Policy at Avani Maseru!

​Highlights of the Day
​The energy in the room was electric as we gathered with industry stakeholders, financial institutions, and media partners to shape the future of poultry in Lesotho.

​A Visionary Keynote: We were honored to have the recently appointed Minister of Agriculture, Food Security, and Nutrition, Honorable Selibe Mochoboroane, deliver a powerful keynote address.

​A Historic Signing: In a moment that will be remembered for years to come, the Honorable Minister officially signed the Lesotho Poultry Development Policy into power, signaling a new era of support and structure for our farmers.

​Engaging Dialogue: A special thank you to Dr. Jacqueline Olweya from UNDP Lesotho, whose presence and insights created a truly interactive and dynamic launch experience.

​Strategic Roadmap: The LePIA Interim Committee shared the association's core objectives and ambitious future plans to empower local producers.

​The Lesotho Poultry Industry Association (LePIA) is the official apex body representing the entire poultry value chain across our nation. Our mission is to serve as a catalyst for a competitive and sustainable industry that contributes to food security and prosperity for all Basotho.
