Beginning of this Month, We had the pleasure of collaborating with our long term partners, Lesotho Planned Parenthood Association (LPPA), at Mamohato Children’s Centre where we broke down the terms around menstruation. We had to pleasure of educating 50 AGYW who showed great interest and were not shy to ask questions. The group also contributed to the discussions with lived experiences. What made it truly special was hearing the youth men who were present there giving support and advice to the youth girls who experience menstruation. After the workshop many of the youth showed interest in continuing the discussions privately. We have since received a few messages from some of them, of which explain that when they attended the workshop, they hadn’t started menstruation and now they have, seeking mentorship to own their lived experiences.

This has inspired us to launch a new mentorship programme called Mmaphoka Adoption and Mentorship Program.

This year our main focus is on counselling in groups and on one on one basis. We look forward to more impactful collaborations as this one. And thank you to Her Voice Fund for its continuous support in preserving and promoting the young girl’s life.

What challenges do we face as an organisation?

We experience various challenges and setbacks such as budget constraints and getting our pads chemically tested. While we continue our advocacy work, we have taken a pause on reusable pads production to focus our energy on quality control and management. Here we witness a visitation from country lead and ambassador who came to provide us with guidance and tools on how to manage some of these challenges we face. We look forward to another year with where we anticipate even bigger impact.

Back to School Day in Lesotho, officially celebrated late January, is a national initiative spearheaded by the Ministry of Education and Training to promote education, increase school attendance, and support vulnerable learners. Events feature government officials, corporate sponsors, and communities donating uniforms, shoes, and supplies to students while encouraging academic excellence and discouraging social ills.

We are excited to st our programs with St.James High School Maseru. This year it ur main focus is menstrual and mental health counselling as well as skills training in pads making. Here is to a successful year of 2026. A lovely shoutout to for making it another successful year of impact.

Last month at St James High School in Maseru, we witnessed kindness in action during World Kindness Day💛
Facilitated by Thato Rannana, our youth opened their hearts, expressed love to one another, and reminded us that compassion is a strength — not a weakness. Their excitement to engage further with our programs and this season’s advocacy theme shows a new generation rising with purpose, empathy, and courage. This is how we build brighter communities. One act of kindness at a time.”

On this World Toilet Day, we remember that dignity begins with a clean, safe toilet. Nomapads foundation, as part of WASH - TWG celebrated this day which will lead to a 2 day workshop by the National Sanitation Strategy Consultant on Sanitation Situational Assessment Report in Maseru on the 26-27th November.
No child should skip school, no girl should suffer in silence, and no community should face disease because of poor sanitation.
Let us build spaces that protect health, restore dignity, and honour every human life. help us improve sanitation in a changing world.
Sanitation is a right — not a privilege. With love from Ithate youth club, Byeeee.

No child should ever miss school because of their period. Menstrual health is not just about hygiene — it’s about dignity, confidence, and equality. When schools provide menstrual support, they create safe spaces where girls can focus on learning instead of worrying about stains, shame, or pain. 💪🏽
From clean toilets and pad-friendly facilities to open conversations and reusable pad education — menstrual support empowers students to stay in class, feel seen, and dream bigger. 🌸
Let’s normalize periods. Let’s protect futures.
Because when girls rise, the whole community rises. ❤️

They say, good things are not always about quantity but rather QUALITY. We like to spend quality time with our youth, sharing skills while discussing important issues that can change our country and the world.

Last Friday we trained 39 young girls and boys at St.James High School on policy and advocacy. We did that while also teaching them some art and crafts with macramé techniques. We love how the youth now has a deep understanding of policies and advocacy and how to apply them in their real life. In the space of menstrual and mental health, it’s important to understand these terms and know where they can be strengthened.

We like to thank your team for their resilience and passion in teaching and training the youth of Lesotho. We feel blessed for a hard working and professional team that works tirelessly to secure and safeguard the future of Basotho.

We also like to thank Her Voice Fund for the financial support to carry out these workshops and trainings.
