𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The Grand Gedeh Fula Youth Association (GGFYA) wishes to express its heartfelt appreciation to the youth of both the Fula and Mandingo communities for their remarkable turnout during the community cleaning campaign held today, 15 February 2026, in Zwedru City.

We commend the dedication, hard work, and spirit of cooperation demonstrated by all participants, whose efforts significantly contributed to the sanitation and beautification of our mosques. This initiative exemplifies unity, shared responsibility, and the strong bond between our communities, especially as we prepare for the holy month of Ramadan.

GGFYA also extends sincere gratitude to those who made financial contributions to support this campaign. Your generosity and commitment to our shared values have been invaluable.

𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝙸𝚗𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚖𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗

The Grand Gedeh Fula Youth Association (GGFYA) wishes to inform the general public that it held a meeting today, 30 January 2026, with the Mandingo Youth Leadership in Zwedru City. The meeting was conducted in a very friendly, respectful, and collaborative atmosphere, focusing on issues of mutual interest and concern to both parties.

Following thorough deliberations, both groups reached a unanimous agreement to jointly undertake a community cleaning campaign targeting all mosques within the vicinity of Zwedru City. This initiative aims to promote sanitation, unity, and shared responsibility, particularly as the holy month of Ramadan draws near.

The proposed date for the cleaning campaign is tentatively set for 15 February 2026; however, this date has not yet been officially confirmed. A further public release will be issued once the date is formally confirmed.

The Grand Gedeh Fula Youth Association expresses its profound happiness and appreciation for the fruitful engagement and the strong spirit of cooperation demonstrated by our Mandingo brothers.

GGFYA therefore calls on all youths to actively participate in the forthcoming cleaning campaign as we collectively prepare for Ramadan in the coming weeks. Together, we can strengthen unity, promote cleanliness, and foster peaceful coexistence within our community.

𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘

𝗭𝘄𝗿𝗱𝗿𝘂, 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮 – The Grand Gedeh County Fula Youth Association GGFYA, led by its President, Hon. Amadou Oury Diallo, has successfully paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Peter L. Solo, Director General of the National Lottery Authority of Liberia (NLA), in recognition of his tremendous leadership and outstanding work at the Authority.

During the visit, the leadership of GGFYA commended Hon. Solo for his commitment to institutional reform, transparency, and effective management at the National Lottery Authority, noting that his leadership continues to inspire confidence among young people across the country.

In the spirit of partnership and youth empowerment, the Association humbly presented two key requests to the Director General. First, the youth appealed for his assistance toward the construction of the Grand Gedeh Fula Youth Building, a project aimed at providing a permanent space for youth development, leadership training, and community engagement. Second, GGFYA formally recommended the employment of one qualified young Fulani at the National Lottery Authority of Liberia, as part of efforts to promote inclusion and youth empowerment.

Hon. Peter L. Solo warmly received the delegation and expressed satisfaction with the visit and the recommendations presented. He welcomed the requests made by the Association and reaffirmed his support for initiatives that empower young people and promote national unity. In response, Hon. Solo promised to provide support and further recommended that the Association submit the detailed credentials of the proposed candidate for proper consideration in line with institutional procedures.

The Director General also encouraged the youth to ensure transparency and fairness in the selection process. In line with this advice, the leadership of GGFYA announced that the youth will convene to develop clear criteria and a transparent process for selecting the recommended candidate.

The Grand Gedeh Fula Youth Association extends its profound gratitude to Hon. Peter L. Solo for his warm reception, encouragement, and commitment to youth development. GGFYA remains steadfast in its mission to promote unity, development, and meaningful opportunities for young people in Grand Gedeh County and Liberia at large.

The Grand Gedeh Fula Youth Association (GGFYA) is pleased to officially announce several new appointments aimed at enhancing the effectiveness, organization, and future direction of our youth leadership structure.

After due consultation and careful selection, the following individuals have been appointed to serve in key departmental roles:

1. 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 (𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗼𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗮)
Appointed as Advisor to the Association.
He will provide guidance, wisdom, and strategic counsel to support the growth and stability of GGFYA.

2. 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

Both appointed as Officers of Information and Communication.
They will manage information dissemination, promote transparency, strengthen media relations, and ensure effective communication across all GGFYA programs.

3. 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗱𝗼𝘂 𝗞𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼
Appointed as Assistant Mobilization Officer.
He will support community mobilization activities, assist in youth engagement efforts, and work alongside the department leadership to encourage active participation.

4. 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

𝗠𝘀. 𝗥𝘂𝗴𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗼𝘂 𝗕𝗮𝗵
Appointed as Finance Secretary.
She will oversee financial records, budgeting, accountability, and coordinate fundraising efforts in support of GGFYA initiatives.

The GGFYA congratulates all appointees and expresses its full confidence in their commitment to serve with integrity, dedication, and passion. These appointments reflect our shared vision of strengthening youth leadership and fostering unity among the Fula people of Grand Gedeh.

The Grand Gedeh Fula Youth Association (GGFYA) extends its deepest gratitude to Mr. Mamadou Barry for his generous donation of official football jerseys to the Grand Gedeh Fula Community Football Club.

Mr. Barry’s contribution demonstrates true community spirit and unwavering commitment to the growth and empowerment of our youth. GGFYA President Hon. Jalloh Amadou Oury Begins Payment of Promised Islamic Tuition Fees

In fulfillment of his campaign promises, the President of the Grand Gedeh County Fula Youth Association (GGFYA), Hon. Jalloh Amadou Oury, has officially begun the payment of tuition fees for children learning Islam at the two Fula mosques in Grand Gedeh County.

Accompanied by his Vice President and Treasurer, Hon. Oury on Saturday, September 20, 2025, made the first disbursement covering the month of October 2025, benefiting more than 130 children.

Speaking at the occasion, the President reaffirmed his commitment to supporting education and religious learning among the youth. He stressed that the initiative is a demonstration of his administration’s dedication to empowering the younger generation through both moral and academic development.

“This is not just about paying tuition. It is about investing in the future of our community. We believe that by supporting our children in their religious and moral education, we are building disciplined, knowledgeable, and responsible leaders for tomorrow,” Hon. Oury emphasized.

The President further announced that by next week Saturday, his leadership team will reach out to the second mosque to make the tuition payment, covering two full months. This step, he assured, is part of ensuring fairness and balance in delivering on promises made to both Islamic learning centers.

The beneficiaries and community leaders expressed gratitude to the President and his team for living up to their word and bringing tangible impact to the lives of young people.

The GGFYA leadership reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and service to all Fula youth of Grand Gedeh County.

GGFYA Holds First Executive Meeting Following Successful Fundraising Program

Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County – September 18, 2025 – The Grand Gedeh Fula Youth Association (GGFYA) convened its first executive meeting following the success of its recent fundraising program.

In his opening remarks, the Honorable President of GGFYA, Jalloh Amadou Oury, extended heartfelt appreciation to the leadership and members of the Association for their unwavering commitment to voluntarily serve the young people of Grand Gedeh. He further commended the fundraising team for their remarkable efforts and outstanding performance in ensuring the success of the program.

During the meeting, the sports team presented their planned activities, which are designed to be implemented in the best interest of the youth community.

President Oury encouraged his leadership team to continue upholding the values of solidarity and tolerance in their service to the Association. He also called on all members to actively engage with the wider community by informing the public about the upcoming General Youth Meeting, scheduled for Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Muslim Elementary and Junior High School Campus.

The GGFYA remains committed to fostering unity, promoting development, and advancing the welfare of the youth in Grand Gedeh County.
