VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY SPOTLIGHT

Last week, three of our dedicated volunteers Miss Jenneh Nyumah , Mr. Theophilus G. Mawolo & Miss Rebecca K Saah had the opportunity to represent the F. Tengbeh Foundation at a two-day training organized by Serving Humanity for Empowerment and Development (SHED) in Voinjama.

The training focused on Legal Literacy, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and was held as part of the EU/Spotlight Initiative.

We are grateful for this opportunity to have our volunteers learn, engage, and build their capacity on issues that directly affect our communities.

At the F. Tengbeh Foundation, we believe that investing in volunteers is investing in community leadership and sustainable change.

We sincerely appreciate SHED and partners for creating spaces where young people can learn, contribute, and become better advocates for their communities.

F. Tengbeh Foundation Youth Lead Master Class Cohort 6

The F. Tengbeh Foundation is pleased to introduce Mr. Chris Wonnah as a Facilitator for the Youth Lead Master Class 2026, Cohort 6, where he will lead a session on Project Management and Proposal Writing.

Chris Wonnah is a Liberian agricultural and development professional, entrepreneur, youth advocate, and community development leader with experience spanning agribusiness, agricultural extension, project coordination, entrepreneurship development, and youth empowerment.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Extension and Education from the University of Liberia and continues to pursue further academic and professional development in food systems, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

His professional interests are strongly rooted in food security, youth employment, entrepreneurship, agricultural innovation, and community transformation.

Chris has served in various leadership and professional capacities, including as Program and Operations Lead at Agro Tech Liberia, contributing to agricultural and youth-focused initiatives.

He has also been actively engaged in entrepreneurship and business development, including leadership with the Young Business Leaders Club under the Liberia Chamber of Commerce, where he has supported young entrepreneurs through capacity building, networking, mentorship, and access-to-opportunity initiatives.

As a passionate youth advocate, Chris believes in helping young people transform ideas into practical, sustainable enterprises and impactful projects. His work reflects a commitment to strengthening agricultural systems, expanding economic opportunities for young people and women, and promoting innovative solutions to Liberia's development challenges.

As a YALI Cohort 50 alumnus, Chris brings valuable leadership experience and a development-oriented perspective to the Youth Lead Master Class.

We are excited to have Chris Wonnah join Cohort 6 and share his knowledge, experience, and practical insights with emerging young leaders.

The F. Tengbeh Foundation is pleased to introduce Shotunde Oluwasegun Shotunde Tokunbo as a Facilitator for the Youth Lead Master Class 2026 , Cohort 6, where he will lead an engaging session on Health Insurance.

Shotunde Oluwasegun Tokunbo is an Agricultural Economist, Public Health Advocate, and Researcher from Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, working at the intersection of digital health, community-driven primary healthcare, and sustainable development. He leverages data and technology to strengthen health systems and improve health outcomes for underserved communities.

As a National Health Fellow in Ogun State, he has strengthened grassroots participation in primary healthcare across 20 health facilities, utilizing digital data skills to support evidence-based health-system monitoring and community engagement.

His professional experience also spans agriculture, renewable energy, and youth development, through engagements with organizations including WeLight Nigeria, Datametrics Associates, Cedar Seed Foundation, and Soilless Farm Lab.

These experiences have equipped him with a systems-level perspective on how digital innovation can help bridge gaps across the food, health, and environmental sectors.

Oluwasegun holds a Bachelor of Agriculture from the University of Ilorin and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics (Policy Management).

He is an alumnus of the YALI Regional Leadership Center Accra, a Youth Representative at the World Food Forum, and a member of YOUNGO’s Climate Working Group.

Driven by a vision of an Africa where digital health innovation, active citizenship, and inclusive development converge to build resilient communities, Oluwasegun is passionate about creating partnerships that put data and technology at the service of equitable healthcare access across Africa.
