Partnerships Built on Trust: Lower Margibi Youth Secretariat Presents Rural Tech Summit Report to Hon. Johnson Quaqua

At the heart of every successful initiative is a partnership built on trust, accountability, and a shared commitment to community development. In keeping with these values, the Lower Margibi Youth Secretariat-LMYS proudly presented the Rural Tech Summit – Lower Margibi Edition 1.0 Implementation Report to one of the program's valued sponsors, Hon. Johnson Quaqua, Lower Margibi Labour Commissioner of the Ministry of Labour.

The report was officially presented by Mr. Habakkuk Parker of the Lower Margibi Youth Secretariat alongside Amb Dennis Kromah Page II, Executive Director of YARD-Liberia, Inc. The presentation was made to express the Secretariat's profound appreciation for Hon. Quaqua's unwavering support, which played a significant role in the successful implementation of the summit. His confidence in youth-led initiatives demonstrates that investing in young people is an investment in the future of Lower Margibi.

The Leadership of the Lower Margibi Youth Secretariat-LMYS extends heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to The Ministry of Youth and Sports Liberia under the dynamic and youthful leadership of Minister Atty. Cornelia Wonkerleh Kruah for the successful launch of the National Youth Pathway Program.

This initiative, which will provide opportunities for 1,100 young Liberians across the 15 counties to gain professional, vocational, and technical experience through six months of placement in both public and private institutions, is a clear demonstration of the Ministry’s commitment to youth empowerment and sustainable employment creation.

We are particularly impressed by the level of organization, transparency, and vision demonstrated throughout the process. Programs like these continue to restore hope and create meaningful pathways for young people to transition from unemployment to opportunity.

The Lower Margibi Youth Secretariat also proudly congratulates all young people from Margibi County β€” especially those from the Lower Belt β€” who were selected to benefit from this important national initiative. Your selection is a testament to your determination, resilience, and readiness to contribute positively to national development.

To those who were not selected this time, remain encouraged and hopeful. More opportunities are ahead, and your time will surely come.

Youth Voices Rising: 10 Seats Secured at Liberia IGF 2026! From Advocacy to Access: LMYS Earns 10 Slots at National Forum!

Through the relentless lobbying efforts of our founding members, we are proud to announce that ten (10) slots have been officially awarded to the Lower Margibi Youth Secretariat (LMYS) to participate in the Liberia Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2026.
