Mission Alliance Liberia is recruiting a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer to support evidence-based planning, accountability, learning, and data-driven decision-making across its programmes in Liberia.
About the Role
The MEL Officer will lead monitoring, evaluation, data management, surveys, reporting, and learning processes across Mission Alliance projects, including:
Conservation Agriculture
Adult Literacy
Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs)
The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, the Country Director, and Mission Alliance's Programme Office in Oslo to strengthen programme quality, innovation, and impact.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain MEL systems, tools, and frameworks
β
Manage data quality and reporting through TheSavix MIS platform
β
Conduct surveys, monitoring visits, and evaluations
β
Support digital data collection using tablets and smartphones
β
Analyze data and produce reports, success stories, and learning briefs
β
Train staff and community groups on data collection and monitoring
β
Facilitate learning and reflection sessions for programme improvement
Qualifications & Experience
β Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
β Minimum 5 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and development programming in Liberia
β Experience using KoboToolbox, TheSavix, Google Sheets, and Excel
β Strong data analysis, reporting, and donor reporting skills
β Experience with Adult Literacy, Agriculture, or VSLA programmes is an advantage
β Experience designing and implementing MEL frameworks and training field teams
