The law explicitly states in its definitions that a Community Member is any Liberian citizen, irrespective of gender,age , or belief, who was born in the community, or has lived there continuously for seven years.

This means women are automatic co-owners of customary land, with equal rights to participate in decisions and management through local committees.

Representing the institution, Elkana Vah, Communication Officer of CEPPDVE, facilitated a practical and engaging session on Professional CV Development, equipping participants with essential knowledge and strategies for building strong and professional CVs that can increase their chances in todayโ€™s
competitive job market.

Yesterday, the Center for Public-Private Development (CEPPDEV) in partnership with ForumCiv Liberia successfully hosted a one-day Youth Policy Dialogue on Land Rights and Ownership in Liberia, marked by three engaging panel discussions on strengthening land governance systems and youth participation, land use, livelihoods, and youth economic empowerment, and public-private partnerships in land-based investment. The conversations sparked bold ideas and practical solutions, placing youth at the center of Liberiaโ€™s land reform agenda.

Through meaningful dialogue and collaboration, participants explored pathways to inclusive land governance, sustainable livelihoods, and responsible investment. The event reinforced a shared commitment to empowering young people as key drivers of equitable land access and national development.

The Center for Public-Private Development (CEPDVE) successfully hosted a Free TEF Grant Application Session on Saturday, February 28,2026, empowering Liberian entrepreneurs with practical guidance to confidently apply for the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) Grant.

In partnership with Tony Elumelu Foundation, Jewel Starfish Foundation and SATEC - Liberia , participants gained clarity on eligibility, application strategies, and how to position their businesses for US$5,000 seed funding, mentorship, and global exposure.

CEPDVE remains committed to unlocking public-private opportunities that help Liberian businesses grow and compete globally.

CEPPDEV was honored to participate in a High-Level Stakeholder Dialogue on Freedom of Information on January 29, 2026, hosted by the Independent Information Commission (IIC) and the Center for Media Studies and Peace Building (CEMESP).

The event convened key stakeholders to assess gaps and advance reforms in Liberiaโ€™s access to information regime.
