**International Day of the African Child – June 16**

Today, we join millions across Africa and the world in commemorating the International Day of the African Child, a day that honors the courage and resilience of the children of Soweto who stood up for their right to quality education in 1976.

As we reflect on their sacrifice, we are reminded that every African child deserves access to quality education, healthcare, protection, and opportunities to reach their full potential. While progress has been made, many children across our continent continue to face challenges such as poverty, violence, inequality, and limited access to essential services.

This day calls on governments, communities, parents, and stakeholders to renew their commitment to creating a safe and enabling environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.

Let us listen to the voices of African children, invest in their future, and work together to build a continent where no child is left behind.

**Happy International Day of the African Child!**

*"Every child deserves a future filled with hope, dignity, and opportunity."*

As we look ahead to Liberia’s 2029 elections, the role of young people has never been more important. Youths are not just participants—they are powerful voices shaping the future of our nation.

Through networking and collaboration, we can educate, empower, and mobilize young leaders to engage responsibly in the electoral process. The connections we build today can create opportunities for informed decisions, peaceful participation, and meaningful change tomorrow.
The future of Liberia depends on a prepared, united, and active generation.

As we draw the curtain on International Women’s Month, Let’s reflect on a powerful moment that captured the essence of this year’s theme, “Give to Gain.”

Our Executive Director had the honor of accepting an invitation to serve as Guest Speaker at first International Women’s Day Retreat at H&A Corporation.

In that invitation was more than a request it was a call to share, to uplift, and to pour into the lives of other women at a different institution.

This is what “Give to Gain” truly represents.
To every woman reading this: your strength, your voice, your knowledge, and your presence are not just for you they are tools for transformation.

Every time you give whether through mentorship, kindness, leadership, or simply showing up at your job or business, you create space for growth, not only for others but for yourself.

We gain confidence by lifting others.
We gain wisdom by sharing experiences.
We gain strength by standing together.

Let this not be the end of a celebration, but the continuation of a movement. A movement where women intentionally support, empower, and invest in one another.

As we close this month, I encourage you:
Give boldly. Give purposefully. Give selflessly.
Because in giving, we do not lose we multiply

It is truly commendable to see the Executive Director Nyaniyon D Dorbor taking bold steps to forge strategic partnerships within the entrepreneurial sector.

Drawing from the knowledge and experience I gained through the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs program, she have been privileged to serve as a judge at several entrepreneurial events. Today, she had the honor of sitting on the panel at the Entrepreneur Academy Graduation Ceremony — a moment that marked the culmination of weeks of intensive training, mentorship, and business development for these remarkable participants.

We’re looking forward to building more partnerships this year.

Today’s session on Emotional Intelligence with amazing women and youth was more than just learning it was about empowerment.

When women and young people understand their emotions, manage their reactions, and build empathy, they gain the confidence to lead, communicate effectively, and make better decisions. Emotional intelligence is a key life skill that supports personal growth, stronger relationships, and positive community impact.

Empowerment starts from within — and this is one of the ways we continue investing in women and youth for a more confident, resilient, and sustainable future.

Thanks to our Executive Director Nyaniyon D Dorbor for the teaching session.

Today, our Executive Director Nyaniyon D Dorbor had the distinct honor of speaking at the inaugural induction ceremony of the Student Council Government at Angel International School System.

It was truly inspiring to witness young leaders stepping forward with confidence, responsibility, and a shared commitment to service. The ceremony was not just a formal transition of roles, but a powerful reminder that leadership begins with integrity, empathy, and the willingness to serve others selflessly.

We’re looking to seeing the positive impact this newly inducted Student Council will make within their school community and beyond.

Today our Executive Director joined Feed an Orphan – A Testimony Biodigester Initiative, in partnership with Women and Youth for Sustainable Empowerment, and donated to the Restoring Hope Foundation Orphanage Home in Bentol City, Rural Montserrado.

As Christmas approaches, we are reminded that giving brings hope, love, and smiles to those who need it most. This act of kindness reflects the true spirit of the season sharing, compassion, and restoring hope to our children.

Together, we continue to make a difference.

On December 17, 2025, our Executive Director Madam Nyaniyon D Dorbor attended the PMI Liberia Annual Conference, where she connected with key stakeholders in the project management industry.

The session featured insights from Mr. Nwachi Ibeagwa on Delivering Beyond Outputs and the importance of the Benefits Realisation Lifecycle in strengthening project impact. The conference also included a panel discussion on Contract and Procurement Management.

Kudos to PMI Liberia for creating a valuable platform for project managers to learn, connect, and drive meaningful project development.
