---- Blessin Ellioth Diggs of our Staff elected MaRiYoNet- Liberia Chairperson---
Established under the auspices of the The Fund for Global Human Rights, Mano River Youth Network is a sub-regional umbrella platform for youth and child led civil society institutions championing the cause to collectively promote and defend human rights in their various countries in the Mano River region.
Diggs is a devoted person with the ability to produce results working independently or as a team member. Over the last seven years, he has dedicated himself to voluntarism in youth and child rights advocacy. Prior to joining our team, he was a member of the Liberia National Children Representative Forum, through it's Montserrado Chapter.
Diggs officially joined the Right Holders Network-RHN in 2019 as our coordinator in Bentol and has acended through the ranks of leadership including programs committee Chair, and Chairman of the National Secretariat since 2021 when he also became our official representative to MaRiYoNet- Liberia.
His election comes as a welcoming news and at a very significant moment in the existence of considering that we are in the process of gaining or autonomy and renewing our strategic focus to position ourself as a leading you and child and youth-led human rights defender beyond Liberia and into the sub-region. As a an institution, this will boost our chances to enhance our partnership with peer institutions at both national and regional levels to defend human rights.
