CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

External Facilitator – Training Workshop on Monitoring Domestic Violence Law and FGM Moratorium using the established referral pathways.

Background

WOCDAL is seeking the services of a qualified and experienced external facilitator to conduct a capacity-building workshop for members of the Rural Women Network and Girls Forum under the Just and Equal Communities (JEC) Project in B**g County. The training will focus on building their capacity to monitor violations of the Domestic Violence Law of 2019 and the FGM Moratorium, and to report perpetrators to relevant authorities through the established referral pathway. This initiative aims to strengthen community-level accountability and protection

Objective of the Assignment

The facilitator will be responsible for designing and delivering a participatory training workshop aimed at empowering rural women and girls with the knowledge and tools to:
β€’ Understand and interpret the Domestic Violence Law of 2019 and the FGM Moratorium.
β€’ Monitor and identify violations within their communities.
β€’ Document and report incidents using the national referral pathway.
β€’ Engage with relevant authorities to ensure cases are addressed appropriately.

Scope of Work

β€’ Develop training content and materials tailored in line with WOCDAL program team.
β€’ Facilitate interactive sessions using participatory methodologies.
β€’ Provide practical exercises and tools on case identification and referral.
β€’ Collaborate with the WOCDAL project team to ensure alignment with program objectives.
β€’ Submit a brief report on training outcomes and recommendations.

Expected Deliverables

β€’ Training agenda and facilitation guide.
β€’ PowerPoint or visual aids for use during sessions.
β€’ Conduct a 3-day in-person training workshop for 55 participants from 8am -5pm daily. (May 9-11,2025 in Gbarnga, B**g County)
β€’ Final report summarizing training activities, participant feedback, and key outcomes.

Qualifications Required

β€’ Proven experience facilitating community-based trainings on gender-based violence, domestic violence, or harmful traditional practices.
β€’ Strong understanding of the legal and policy framework related to GBV and FGM in Liberia.
β€’ Experience working with rural communities and women's/girls’ groups.
β€’ Excellent communication and facilitation skills in English (knowledge of local languages is an asset).
