On Our Alumni Spotlight: Mr. Quaqua D. Kollie

Mr. Quaqua D. Kollie is a proud alumnus of Yarcooper High School and the Valedictorian of the 2023 graduating class. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with an emphasis in Industrial and Environmental Chemistry at the University of Liberia, where he continues to distinguish himself through academic excellence and a passion for scientific research.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Quaqua serves as a tutor and teaching assistant, dedicating his time to helping students strengthen their understanding of chemistry and other academic subjects. His commitment to teaching reflects his passion for empowering others through education and mentorship.

Recently, Quaqua successfully completed a research project titled "The Effect of Waste on the Physical Properties of the Soil in GSA, Christ Community." The study highlights his interest in environmental sustainability and demonstrates his commitment to addressing real-world environmental challenges through scientific research.

Known for his discipline, perseverance, and love for learning, Quaqua believes that education is a powerful tool for creating positive change. He remains committed to advancing scientific knowledge and contributing to environmental sustainability and national development through his work and future career.

Miss Olive Kollie is a proud alumna of Yarcooper High School and currently a student at the Adventist University of West Africa, where she is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Medical Science Laboratory. She is passionate about healthcare, scientific research, and improving lives through quality laboratory services.

Olive is a dedicated and hardworking student who believes that education is a powerful tool for creating positive change. Her commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and personal growth continues to inspire those around her.

As she advances in her studies, Olive aspires to become a competent Medical Laboratory Scientist, contributing to accurate disease diagnosis, quality healthcare delivery, and the overall well-being of her community and nation. Her journey reflects determination, resilience, and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the medical field.

On Our Spotlight: Tennessee H. Weh

Tennessee H. Weh is a dedicated scholar and a sophomore student at the African Methodist Episcopal Zion University, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice within the Department of Law Enforcement, with a minor in Sociology. He is passionate about justice, public safety, and making meaningful contributions to society through ethical leadership and community service.

A proud graduate of Yarcooper High School, Tennessee H. Weh was the Valedictorian of the school's 4th Graduating Class, a remarkable achievement that reflects his academic excellence, hard work, and determination. He continues to uphold that standard of excellence in his university studies.

As a committed student, Tennessee demonstrates discipline, perseverance, and a strong desire to excel academically. His studies in Criminal Justice and Sociology are preparing him to better understand the legal system, human behavior, and the importance of promoting peace, fairness, and accountability in society.
