One Bathroom, One Kit menstrual safe space donation.

Our team, yesterday donated another female safe Bathroom to the Police Academy Public School under our "One Bathroom, One Kit menstrual Hygiene Campaign. We remain committed to addressing period Poverty in schools and public places. The principal, Madam Parker in her remarks, sees the project as relieving because she often allows about 5-10 girls home every month because of the lack of sanitary products on campus.

Thanks to our partners and sponsors for the success.

As part of our efforts towards community empowerment, through our "One Bathroom, One Kit" menstrual hygiene campaign, our program team dedicated the second female safe space bathroom to Grace Gospel School System, located behind the Roland Estate in the 72nd Community yesterday.

These bathrooms are set up specifically for emergency use by female students and staff while on their menstrual period during school hours.

The principal, Mr David Mulbah, appreciates the team in that the project will help reduce the number of absentees and excuses from female students while menstruating during the instructional period of lessons.

MENSTRUAL HYGIENE CAMPAIGN.

As part of our ongoing efforts to restore female dignity during menstruation through the "One Bathroom, One Kit Campaign" our team conducted its first "Peer Educators" workshop of the project phase one last week, March 13 to enhance the capacity of the Menstrual Hygiene Clubs in schools where we have set up the One Bathroom, One Kit female safe space/Bathrooms.

The training brought together five schools, with ten club members and two administrators from each school, totalling 60 participants. School administrators and students express their appreciation for the training while students highlight the importance of the initiative for students.

Thanks to our wonderful facilitators in Madam Shereena Coleman and Miss Wesleyan Wande for the continued support towards this initiative.

Thanks to our sponsors of the first phase, SMART Liberia, Lovetta Cake delight and the Africa Poverty Impact Summit-API-Summit .

Project Dedication....

As part of our ongoing efforts to address pressing Menstrual Hygiene challenges faced by women and girls in Liberia during the time of Menstruation while in public places, on Friday March 6, 2025 during the International Women's Day, our team and sponsors through our "One Bathroom, One Kit" menstrual Hygiene Campaign dedicated one of the first female safe space set-up to the SWEEP-LIBERIA ACADEMY and TVET located along the police Academy Road, Paynesville City.

With the continued challenges of inaccessible Menstrual materials, limited capacity building and public stigmatization which affects education outcomes for girls, the project will reduce the number of absentees in school and improve the learning outcomes for adolescent girls. The space is a specialized room with a sanitary kit equipped with Sanitary pads, Tissue, Wipes, Disposable Cans and Sanitatizer for emergency use during learning hours.

This project is being implemented in collaboration with SMART Liberia , Lovetta Cake delight and the Africa Poverty Impact Summit-API-Summit.

The workshop was concluded with group work where the participants were placed in groups of four with a specific scenario topic of corruption at different institutions to analyze and provide recommendations to address them based on what was learned during the training. During their presentation, each of the team members proved that the lesson taught was well taken.
