Happy World Earth Day 🌱 🌳 🌎
April 22 is World Earth Day, and the 2026 global theme is “Our Power, Our Planet”. At Youth For Sustainable Development and Inclusive Empowerment Initiative we know the planet’s health is tied directly to the future of Liberian youth. From rising sea levels affecting Monrovia’s coastline to unpredictable farming seasons in our counties, climate change is not distant news. It is here, shaping the opportunities, safety, and livelihoods of young people across Liberia today.
‘Our Power, Our Planet’ is a reminder that real environmental progress comes from everyday people and communities, not just governments. That is why youth cannot wait on the sidelines. Through tree-planting drives, waste-reduction campaigns, and climate education in schools, we are proving that small actions grow into real change when communities move together. Every seed planted and every single-use plastic refused is a statement that our future is worth protecting.
This Earth Day, YOSDEI is calling on you to use _your power_ for _our planet_.
