We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Liberia Communist Movement (LICOM). For more than a century, Liberia has seen no progress due to failed capitalism that comes with its vices: corruption, impunity, economic deprivation, stagnation and even retrogression, etc.
If we must improve as a nation, then, we must make a radical departure from failed capitalism to the progressive ideology of communism, in which corruption is intolerable and impunity is an abomination. We must embrace a new ideology of governance whereby all Liberians will enjoy the fairness of our society and the equality of opportunities.
We cannot sit unconcerned and watch Liberia retrogress continuously while our people suffer. We can no longer be linient with a society that makes the rich richer and the poor poorer. It hooves our generation to correct historical wrongs and the obligation is upon us to alter the dynamics of things in our country.
The movement is growing and taking shape as it is pleasing to the ears of the ordinary people and well resonating with the general masses.
Please be informed that the movement intends to metamorphose into a full-fledged political party before the 2029 general and presidential elections.
