Today, CRAF joined residents of the Soul Clinic community in Paynesville City to celebrate World Environment Day through practical action, public education, and community engagement.
The celebration began with an outdoor community clean-up exercise. Our team, volunteers, and participants collected waste from streets and public spaces, demonstrating that protecting the environment begins with individual responsibility and collective action.
The activity continued with an interactive indoor session focused on the importance of World Environment Day, environmental protection, proper waste disposal, and the need to keep our homes, streets, drainages, and communities clean.
Participants engaged directly with the facilitators through questions, answers, personal experiences, and one-on-one discussions. The session gave community members an opportunity to understand how poor waste disposal affects public health, flooding, community safety, and the general quality of life.
Todayβs event was more than a celebration. It was a call to responsibility.
A clean community requires the participation of everyone. Government institutions, community leaders, businesses, young people, women, students, families, and residents all have a role to play.
CRAF extends sincere appreciation to the community leaders, volunteers, participants, partners, and residents who supported the activity.
Let us continue to protect our environment, reduce improper waste disposal, keep our drainages open, and take responsibility for the places where we live.
A cleaner community starts with you. A safer environment starts with all of us
