🌊🌍 FROM AWARENESS TO ACTION — 1.9 METRIC TONS REMOVED! 🧤♻️

Today September 26th was truly a remarkable day for Clean Ocean View Liberia!

In celebration of World Cleanup Day, we joined forces with our sponsors, partners, volunteers, and community members to mobilize 141 young people at the PHP Park/Community Beach, turning environmental awareness into meaningful action.

Together, we collected an incredible 1,949 kg of waste — equivalent to 1.9 metric tons of waste removed from our coastal environment. 💪🏾🌊
This is more than just a cleanup. It is evidence that when communities come together, awareness can become action, and action can create lasting change.

To every participant who showed up, picked up waste, encouraged others, and gave their time — THANK YOU! Your commitment demonstrates that protecting our environment is a shared responsibility.

To our amazing sponsors and partners, we extend our deepest appreciation for your generous support and belief in our mission. Your partnership continues to make it possible for us to engage communities, empower young people, and work toward healthier and cleaner coastal communities.

At Clean Ocean View Liberia, we remain committed to our mission of “From Awareness to Action” — promoting responsible waste management, reducing plastic pollution, protecting our coastal and marine environment, and empowering communities to become environmental stewards.

The work does not end with today's cleanup. It continues with every plastic bottle we refuse, every piece of waste we properly dispose of, every tree we plant, and every person we educate.

Liberia is our home. The Earth is the only home we share. Let’s protect it — together. 🌍💙

We are open to more partnerships, sponsorships, collaborations, and community-led initiatives that can help us advance sustainable environmental solutions across Liberia.

Happy World Cleanup Day from Clean Ocean View Liberia! 🌊♻️

🌍🌊 WORLD CLEANUP DAY 2026 | FROM AWARENESS TO ACTION

Today, the world comes together to recognize World Cleanup Day—a powerful reminder that a clean and healthy environment is not the responsibility of a few people; it is a responsibility we all share.

As Liberians, we have a beautiful coastline, rivers, wetlands, communities, and marine ecosystems that support our lives and livelihoods. Yet, every day, plastic bottles, sachets, food packaging, and other waste continue to find their way into our streets, drainage systems, beaches, rivers, and ultimately our ocean. If we do not act now, the consequences will be felt not only by us, but by generations yet to come.

At Clean Ocean View Liberia (COVL), we believe cleanup alone is not enough. We must move from awareness to action—reducing the amount of plastic we use, improving how we manage waste, promoting recycling and reuse, protecting our coastal ecosystems, and creating sustainable solutions that communities can carry forward.

Our commitment goes beyond collecting waste from beaches. We are committed to educating and empowering community members, especially young people, to become environmental stewards who understand that protecting our ocean begins with the choices we make every day.

Although World Cleanup Day is being observed today, Clean Ocean View Liberia will celebrate our World Cleanup Day 2026 community action on Saturday, September 26, bringing people together to restore our coastal environment and demonstrate what is possible when a community takes responsibility for its surroundings.

🇱🇷 Liberia, this is our environment. This is our coastline. This is our future.

Let us reduce plastic pollution.
Let us stop treating our communities and ocean as dumping grounds.
Let us choose reusable solutions.
Let us protect our beaches, rivers, mangroves, and marine life.
Let us educate one another.
And most importantly, let us turn awareness into action.

🌊 Clean communities. Healthy oceans. Empowered people. Sustainable Liberia.
