(BFGI) Commends President Boakai for Strengthening the National Fight Against Drugs

Boayue Foundation Global Initiative (BFGI) extends its profound appreciation to His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., for his recent action in officially handing over 15 new vehicles to the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) a timely and strategic move that will significantly enhance the Agency’s mobility, expand nationwide operations, and ensure a faster and more coordinated response in the ongoing fight against Liberia growing drug crisis.

Earlier this year, during the July 26, 2025 Independence Day celebration, BFGI, through the National Orator, emphasized that the drug issue in Liberia has moved beyond a mere health concern it has evolved into a serious national security risk. Yesterday gesture by the President reflects a clear demonstration of leadership, responsiveness and commitment to confronting this alarming threat head on.

BFGI believes that equipping the LDEA and other security institutions with the necessary tools and logistical support is a critical step toward saving our youth, restoring communities and securing Liberia future.
We also call on all stakeholders, government agencies, civil society organizations, religious institutions and the general public to unite efforts in combating the drug menace that continues to destroy lives and weaken our national fabric.

As a youth focused organization, BFGI remains committed to advocacy, awareness and partnership initiatives that promote rehabilitation, prevention and sustainable community engagement in the national drug response strategy.

Together, we can build a drug free Liberia a nation where the next generation can thrive in peace, health and security.

The call to say No to drugs is everybody’s business and the message is clear.

07/08/2025

While we continue to say NO to drugs, it is disheartening to see that some individuals are still bringing harmful substances into our country. This is not just a crime it is an attack on the future of our youth, our communities and our nation. We call on every Liberian to rise up, speak out and take action. Together, we can stop the inflow, protect our people and secure a drug free Liberia.
