ABIMSUE Charity Foundation Breaks Ground for Modern Town Hall in Fassama Town

BELLE DISTRICT, GBARPOLU COUNTY – It was a day of hope and development in Belle District on Saturday, July 25, 2026, as the ABIMSUE Charity Foundation, Inc. officially broke ground for a modern town hall in Fassama Town.

The ground-breaking ceremony was led by the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Roger Abim-karmon.

The new town hall will have a 200-seat capacity and will include two offices, an executive conference room, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a stage, and a studio room. The facility is designed to serve the people of Fassama and also generate income for the town.

The project started with an initial donation of 70 bags of cement, 1,500 blocks, 3 wheelbarrows, 5 shovels, 3 diggers, 3 head pans, and 24 pillars and mats. The entire project is estimated at USD $59,000.00.

Beyond Fassama, Mr. Karmo extended support to other communities.

In Belle Balamo, the Foundation donated 3 bundles of zinc to the Lutheran Church and gave 2 sets of jerseys, 2 footballs, a printer, and a carton of rim sheets to the Belle Balamo Public School.

In Gonjadey, the oldest town in Belle District, farmers received 20 rain boots and 23 cutlasses to support their work on the farms.

The foundation also supported the citizens of Fasama with free medications, clothes, and shoes in addition to its medical outreach services.

As part of the July 26 Independence celebration, the Foundation is also hosting a football match between Fassama and Belle Balamo.

The winner will take home a trophy and LD $20,000, while the runner-up will receive LD $15,000. Other prizes include a golden trophy for MVP, a golden boot for top scorer, and a pair of gloves for best goalkeeper.

Speaking during the ceremony, CEO Abim Karmo said the Foundation remains committed to supporting education, agriculture, sports, and community development in Gbarpolu County.

Residents praised the initiative and thanked ABIMSUE Charity Foundation for bringing development closer to the people.

My People of Gbarpolu County,

It is with great pride and a deep sense of purpose that I address you today. On behalf of our institution, I am honoured to extend a warm and sincere welcome to the High School Students’ Union of Gbarpolu County.

Today, these brilliant young leaders have made the journey from Gbarpolu to our capital city, Monrovia, to take part in the ongoing “Meet the Challenge” program being organized by the Liberia National Debate Initiative, LNDI. This platform was created to bring together some of the brightest minds from across our counties, to test their knowledge, sharpen their critical thinking, and strengthen the values of unity, civic responsibility, and healthy competition among our youth.

The presence of the Gbarpolu delegation here in Monrovia is more than just participation in a competition. It is a statement. It shows the determination of our students to learn, to grow, and to represent their communities with dignity on a national stage. Their commitment reflects the hopes of their parents, teachers, and the entire people of Gbarpolu.

Understanding the importance of morale and encouragement in times like these, our Hon. Roger Abim-Karmon, the CEO of the Abimsue Charity Foundation, took this opportunity to personally meet with the students.
