๐ŸŒฑ Supporting Farmers, Strengthening Communities!

Today, SCNL, through the Ecological Restoration Fund (ERF) Project, provided L$1,151,885.00 to the Sebehill Cocoa Cooperative in Lofa County.

The funds were disbursed through the Kolahun Community Bank and will be used to purchase **Grade One cocoa beans from cooperative members, ensuring farmers receive fair returns for their hard work and quality produce.

This support will help cocoa farmers:
โœ… Maintain their farms
โœ… Pay school fees for their children
โœ… Meet household needs
โœ… Improve their livelihoods

At SCNL, we believe that investing in sustainable livelihoods is essential for both community well-being and environmental conservation.

Together, we are building stronger communities and a greener future for Liberia. ๐ŸŒฟ

๐ŸŒพ Empowering Communities Through Sustainable Agriculture ๐ŸŒพ

Under the European Union-funded C4C Project, 50 beneficiaries in Zuie Clan have begun transplanting lowland rice on a 20-hectare farm, marking an important milestone in promoting sustainable livelihoods and forest conservation.

Lowland rice farming is a key component of the projectโ€™s livelihood intervention, providing farmers with an alternative means of increasing rice production without clearing additional forest land. This innovative approach reduces labor requirements while significantly improving yields, helping communities strengthen food security and income generation.

As part of SCNLโ€™s rural industrialization efforts, a power tiller was donated to the community to accelerate farming activities and improve productivity. Several community members also received practical training on the operation and maintenance of the machine.

This achievement represents a major step forward in modernizing agriculture in Zuie Clan. By equipping farmers with the skills and tools they need, communities can cultivate larger farms more efficiently while contributing to the protection of Liberiaโ€™s forests.

Together, we are advancing sustainable agriculture, improving livelihoods, and safeguarding our natural heritage for future generations.
