📢Toilet is a GOAL! 🏆⚽

As the quarterfinal of the 2024 National County Meet kicks off this Saturday, January 25th, at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville, we are thrilled to celebrate three of our intervention counties: B**g, Lofa, and Nimba for making it to this exciting stage of the tournament! 🏟️👏

As one of the proud sponsors of this year’s National County Meet, the USAID-funded Countywide Sanitation Activity - CWSA is building on the success of our Toilet is a GOAL awareness campaign during the preliminary rounds in B**g County, to further amplify the importance for every household to own a safe toilet.

Our Toilet is a GOAL Campaign is promoting the usage of the SATO /Quee Toilet as the best safe toilet to end open defecation- a simple and innovative plastic commode that:
✅ Uses minimal water for flushing
✅ Prevents odor after use
✅ Has an inbuilt slab to stop cockroaches and flies from interacting with users
✅ Good for pregnant women, children, old and disable people

Cheer on our counties, and keep promoting the SATO/Quee Toilet as a GOAL for every household! 🙌🚽💙

Liberia’s journey to a future free from open defecation continues with the power of strong local partnerships! 📢

Today, the Countywide Sanitation Activity - CWSA proudly signed an MoU with the Kendei Empowerment Foundation, a renowned microfinance institution, to bring sanitation loans to households and small sanitation businesses in Grand Bassa County. ✍️

The MoU was signed by CWSA’s Director of Sanitation Market System Strengthening, Mr. Bernard Elegbe, and the Manager of Kendei Empowerment Foundation, Rev. Mother Elizabeth Sahr. Through this collaboration, Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) and Farmers Saving and Loan Associations (FSLAs) in Grand Bassa County will have access to a special scheme designed to empower communities to access the SATO/Quee Toilet Product for their families. 🏠

This initiative aligns with CWSA’s "One Household, One Toilet" campaign which aims to permanently end open defecation in B**g, Lofa, Nimba, rural Montserrado and Grand Bassa counties in dignity with the invaluable support of our donor, USAID/Liberia.

Together with the Government of Liberia line ministries, CWSA will continue to drive change that will positively transform the livelihoods of communities!
