Passionate advocates Karnia Dahn of Big Sisters Organization and Karishna Freeman of LEGAL kicked off the new year by encouraging Liberians to speak out against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

Appearing on the renowned Bumper Show on ELBC 99.9, they called for the enforcement of existing laws and the introduction of stronger frameworks to address SGBV.

Fifty students from 10 schools in Paynesville, Montserrado, gathered to explore the Cotonou Youth Action Agenda, addressing teenage pregnancies, gender-based violence, and inadequate access to youth-friendly reproductive health services.

Amb. Leo E. Tiah, who represented Liberia at the ICPD Global Youth Dialogue in April 2023, now leads the Liberian Youth Voices for Accelerating the ICPD in raising awareness on these issues.
