The Society Of Women Engineers-Liberia delegation at the WeLocal Bengaluru, India had an enriching second day, filled with inspiring and thought-provoking sessions.
The day began with a keynote address by Madam Sujatha Narayan on “Breaking Barriers with Competence, Confidence & Courage.” She emphasized, “There’s no shortcut to growing your career if you’re really good at what you do. And you should always make people know what you can do.”
Sessions attended included:
- Wellness 360°: Self, Relationships, Community, and Career
- Adversity – Friend or Foe
- Embracing Emotional Vulnerability at Work
- Balancing Act: Navigating Postpartum Depression and the Return to Work
One of the most anticipated events of the day was the Career Fair, where the delegation had the opportunity to engage with CEOs and learn about job vacancies and career opportunities at companies such as ExxonMobil, GE Aerospace, Cargill, Keysight, Caterpillar, Chevron, and more.

The day concluded with a powerful panel discussion titled “Together We Rise.” A key takeaway was the importance of building and expanding your network. One of the speakers shared a compelling insight: “Your network is your net worth.”

The Society Of Women Engineers-Liberia is proudly represented at the conference in Bengaluru, India under the powerful theme “Together We Rise.”

Our delegation includes our President, Maima Dabah Fahnbulleh, Program Committee Chair, Susan S. Swen, Assistant Program Committee Chair, Wade Edith Woart, and one of our dedicated member Roseline Joseph. The team engaged in series of impactful sessions that are essential for female engineers striving for growth, balance, and inclusive leadership.
