SUBJECT: URGENT: Fully Funded Scholarship Opportunity – ICCR Lata Mangeshkar Scheme

Dear Members and Creative Professionals,
The Office of the Secretary General, in coordination with the Honorable Arts and Culture Ambassador, Kekura M. Kamara, is pleased to announce a prestigious opportunity for the Liberian creative community.
The Embassy of India in Monrovia is officially inviting applications for the ICCR Lata Mangeshkar Dance & Music Scholarship Scheme for the 2026–2027 academic year. This fully funded program allows our artists to pursue professional studies at elite Indian institutions.

I. SCHOLARSHIP SCOPE
• Fields of Study: Dance, Music, Theatre, Yoga, Sculpture, Indian Languages, and Performing Arts.
• Funding: Fully funded by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
• Age Requirements:
- Undergraduates/Postgraduates: 18–35 years.
- PhD Candidates: Up to 40 years.
- Specific Indian performing arts courses may have no upper age limit.

II. MANDATORY APPLICATION & FOLLOW-UP PROCEDURE
1. Online Registration: https://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in
2. Notification of Submission: Forward your full name after submission.
3. Ambassadorial Support: Names will be compiled and forwarded for facilitation.

III. DEADLINE
The portal is currently open, but the final deadline for submission is April 15, 2026. Given the short window remaining, we urge all interested artists to act immediately.

Tonight, the Musicians Union of Liberia stood in solidarity with our brother, Rabbit Nass “Nasseman,” as he mourns the passing of his beloved mother. We gather at his home to offer our condolences, share in his grief, and keep him company on the eve of her burial, because in moments like these, family is not only by blood, but by bond.

Nasse, you are not alone. Your music has lifted many of us, and now we stand with you in love, strength, and prayer.

The Musicians Union Of Liberia - MULIB, through its interim leadership, writes to acknowledge all registered Musicians Union members, stakeholders, affiliates, and the general public that the recent statement published on various social media platforms by the acting interim chairman (Baba Milkman Elliott Saytonneh), nullifying the recently held election and all the activities surrounding the process, is not the overall decision of the entire interim leadership.

We wish to inform registered Musicians Union members, stakeholders, affiliates, and the general public that the September 14, 2024, election was free, fair and transparent.

Moreover, it was endorsed by the National Congress and interim leadership, including Milkman Elliott Saytonneh, the interim chairman, and the Election Commission Head, Jarry Blie (Jelly B).

The majority of the members of the interim leadership (officials) are not in support of any act or conduct that will undermine the September 14, 2024, Election Result.

Conclusively, the interim leadership looks forward to working with the newly elected leadership and the relevant government institutions as we execute the events leading to their official induction ceremony.

The interim leadership encourages all members, Stakeholders and well-wishers of MULIB to remain calm and confident as we update you on the next course of action.

Ladies and Gentlemen, today Thursday 28 November is the Musicians Union of Liberia grand funeral parade for the late Royal D Busta Pain.

The parade starts at 7:00am from the Vamoma House Junction to town, and will climax in the chocolate city community football field.

We are calling on every musicians, friends, fans, families of the late musician Royal D Busta pain to join us.
At 7:00pm - 12:00am there will be performances by musicians and also candle night at the chocolate city community football field.

Please come in your black and let’s celebrate the life of our brother, friend, and superstar.

Official Announcement from the Musicians Union of Liberia (MULIB)

The Musicians Union of Liberia (MULIB) has established a planning committee for the homecoming of our beloved brother and member, Royal De Busta Pain.

After careful consultations, the committee has agreed on the following steps:

1. Contribution: All MULIB members are kindly requested to contribute $5.00 USD each. This will go towards supporting the arrangements for our brother’s homecoming.

2. T-Shirts: Custom t-shirts will be printed to identify MULIB members. More details will follow.

3. Tribute Song: A special tribute song will be produced in honor of Royal De Busta Pain, with participation from MULIB members.

4. Tribute Walk & Candlelight Vigil: MULIB will organize a tribute walk and candlelight vigil in memory of our brother. Dates and logistics will be announced later.

5. Delegation: A designated MULIB delegation will meet and retrieve the body of our brother upon its arrival in Liberia.

Update: The leadership of the Musicians Union outgoing and incoming visited the wife of fallen musician Royal Pain’s wife .

Mrs. Lucky Karblee , who is the wife of Royal pain third from the left, is asking the musicians of Liberia to help her plee to the government to help bring her husband’s remains back to Liberia.

Royal Pain passed away in Nigeria following a shocking and instant Pressure attacked, where he was rushed to the National Hospital Abuja, where he met his untimely demise.

Funeral arrangements are on going as to plans to bring his remains from Nigeria.
Musicians Union of Liberia is fully involved with the situation and will be in-touch with the family and relating every discussion from the family and wife to all.

In attendance, Interim - Head ( Milkman) and Ma D, Vice Chair, AB Swaray - President Elect, Zubin Cooper - General Secretary- Elect, Prince Toe - Vice President for administration were all in attendance.

Obituary Announcement!!

The musicians union of Liberia has confirmed the death of Ujay Karblee , popularly known as Royal the Busta Pain , a former Afro pop singer who death news came as a shock to us all.

Mr. Ujay Karblee alias Royal the Busta Pain died in Abuja , Nigeria on Friday morning 12:00am . He leaves to mourn his loving wife Mrs. Maketty Karblee and several children, his mom and siblings.

Funeral arrangements are on the way, and we will ask every member of the union to please be in prayers with the family.
