The United Nations Youth and Student Association of Liberia is an organization run by youth, for youth, dedicated to upholding the spirit of the United Nations through raising the awareness, involvement and empowerment of young people in local, national and international spheres. UNYSAL is an expanding and dynamic network of young people based all around Liberia. In a society in which young people
are not well represented, the UNYSAL serves as a significant voice for youth opinion. Moreover, UNYSAL seeks to play an important educational role in the Liberian society, and creates outstanding young leaders as an organization both run for, and managed exclusively by young people. As the world becomes more interconnected and there is an ever increasing need for skilled leaders with a global perspective, UNYSAL's role can only grow as it continues to develop future leaders by broadening youth and students horizons in Liberia. UNYSAL Liberia is a non-profit, community organization run for and by young people which has been broadening youth and students’ horizons for approximately three years, now. UNYSAL works with young people aged 15 to 35 as prescribed by the United Nations and the African Youth Charter, in a number of ways to provide them with a unique learning experience.
