PRESS RELEASE

From the Office of the Co-Founder & Executive Director

Mr. Thomas Malord Saydee

Summer Camp Motto: Learning, Leading, and Growing Together.

The Kathy Justice Girls Educational Foundation successfully conducted a three-day Summer Camp from December 26–28 in Gbarnga City, B**g County, North-Central Liberia.

The Summer Camp brought together 45 girls representing 10 high schools across five counties in Liberia, providing a platform for education, mentorship, personal development, and peer engagement.

As part of the program, participants underwent a one-day intensive training focused on Family Planning and Substance Abuse Awareness. The Family Planning session was facilitated by Mrs. Kanasuah, who delivered an in-depth presentation on the importance of family planning. She emphasized how teenagers can protect themselves from early pregnancy as well as various sexually transmitted diseases, equipping participants with essential knowledge for making informed and responsible life choices.

The Substance Abuse session was led by our Board Director, Mr. Knight, who highlighted the negative impact of substance abuse on the lives of women and girls across Liberia. He encouraged students to remain committed to their education and to avoid behaviors and activities that could compromise their future and personal development.

Throughout the camp, students had the opportunity to interact, build relationships, and share personal stories. Many of these stories were deeply touching and served as motivation and encouragement for fellow participants. These experiences have further strengthened our resolve to expand this initiative to additional counties across Liberia.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all volunteers and members of the senior leadership team for their guidance and dedication throughout the Summer Camp. Special gratitude is extended to our Founder for her unwavering support and leadership. We also thank the parents and guardians for allowing their children to participate, as well as our associate partners for their prayers and continued support.

As we move forward, the Kathy Justice Girls Educational Foundation remains open to partnerships and donations as we continue to expand our initiatives aimed at promoting education and empowerment for women and girls in Liberia.

Thank you, and God bless.

Supporting the purchase of four (4) acres of land in North-Central Liberia, B**g County, to establish a future Technical & Vocational Training Institute for women and girls.

As we continue our commitment to advancing women’s and girls’ education in Liberia, the Kathy Girls Educational Foundation Liberia is proud to announce the launch of our 2025 fundraising campaign.

This year, we are seeking to raise USD 15,000 to purchase four (4) acres of land in North-Central Liberia, specifically B**g County. B**g County was carefully selected because of its central location and its proximity to neighboring countries Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, and Sierra Leone.

This strategic position will allow us to serve not only Liberia, but also young women and girls from the wider sub-region.

The purpose of this land purchase is to establish a modern, state of the art Technical and Vocational Training Institute dedicated to empowering women and girls with practical, marketable skills.

Liberia remains among the ten poorest countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, facing persistent challenges such as:

High illiteracy rates, especially among women and girls.

High maternal mortality rates.

Low agricultural productivity despite women leading food production in rural areas.

Widespread unemployment and underemployment.

High levels of gender-based violence and sexual abuse.

Increased vulnerability to HIV/AIDS due to limited access to education.

Because of these challenges, many women and girls continue to live in absolute poverty, with limited opportunities for economic independence and personal development.

We firmly believe that educating and training women and girls is one of the most effective pathways to national development.

This vocational institute will provide hands-on technical skills training, improve livelihoods, increase productivity, and contribute meaningfully to Liberia’s economic growth across all sectors.

The Kathy Girls Educational Foundation Liberia operates with strong integrity and transparency. As a registered non-profit organization, we:

Publicly post all expenditures and budgets on our website
Are open to both local and international audits
Provide individual financial reports upon request.

We are therefore kindly seeking partnerships and donations to support the purchase of this four-acre land and help bring this life-changing project to reality.

Donations can be made through:

Together, we can equip women and girls with the skills they need to transform their lives, strengthen their communities, and build a more prosperous and equitable Liberia.

A Message of Hope, Faith, and Purpose This Christmas Season ❤️🎄

On behalf of our Founder, Executive Director, Board of Directors, Volunteers, and Partners, we wish you a joyful Merry Christmas and a New Year overflowing with grace, favor, strength, and long life.

As we celebrate this special season and gently step into a new year, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the goodness of God, who continues to make a way for us especially in times when the journey feels uncertain.

This season also calls us to remember the women and girls who are suffering silently those facing abuse, inequality, and limited opportunities. Their stories remind us why our work matters.

As Liberia continues to move forward, let us remember that this land is our home the one place no one can drive us from. Together, we must rise to build our nation by investing in education, skills development, and human capacity, especially for women and girls.

Our Commitment
With the increasing demand for education, Kathy Justice Girls Educational Foundation remains devoted to restoring hope and dignity through education for women and girls across Liberia.

A Dream for 2025
This year, we have begun a bold fundraising journey to raise USD $15,000 to purchase 4 acres of land in North Central Liberia, where we plan to establish a modern Technical and Vocational Institute.

This institute will serve as a place of opportunity, empowerment, and transformation for generations of women and girls.

We humbly ask for your support through donations, partnerships, prayers, and sharing our message. Contributions can be made via our website and social media platforms. Please feel free to reach out directly if you would like to support this life-changing initiative.
