On June 17–18, 2026, Sisters 4 Sisters Liberia held a two-day Agent of Change Training in Monrovia, bringing together community leaders, youth leaders, civil society representatives, activists, and stakeholders.

The training featured a human rights session facilitated by Melvin Nyanway from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), and sessions on inclusion, diversity, leadership, and advocacy led by our Executive Director, Miss Fatumata Binta Sall.

Through meaningful discussions and practical exercises, participants strengthened their capacity to challenge stigma, promote inclusion, and drive positive change in their communities.

Together, we continue building a network of Agents of Change committed to dignity, respect, and equal opportunity for all.

Today, on International Menstrual Hygiene Day, we stand together to break barriers, end stigma, and create a period-friendly world for every girl and woman. ❤️

Menstruation is natural, and no girl should feel ashamed, miss school, or lack access to safe and affordable menstrual products because of her period.

At Sisters 4 Sisters Liberia, we continue to advocate for dignity, education, awareness, and equal access to menstrual health resources across Liberia.

Together, we can end the silence, challenge harmful myths, and empower girls to thrive with confidence.

Last week, we had the opportunity to meet with the Embassy of Sweden in Liberia, creating space for our student intern, Ruth, to learn firsthand about their work advancing gender equality.

With a strong interest in women’s rights and SRHR, Ruth was especially curious about the role of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and how their efforts align with the mission of S4S Liberia.

We’re grateful to Dwede Tarpeh, Program Officer for Gender and SRHR, for taking the time to share insights and engage in such a meaningful exchange.

We’re excited to welcome our student intern from Sweden, who will be spending the next two weeks with us at Sisters 4 Sisters (Liberia).

Ruth Jiménez Edgren is a 15-year-old student from Adolf Fredrik’s Music School in Sweden and a passionate dancer. She was recently part of a performance commemorating International Women’s Day.

During her time with us, Ruth will be learning about our work in advancing women’s economic empowerment and promoting women’s health. As she explores Liberia, she also brings her perspective on the experiences of women and marginalized communities in a different context.

Welcome to Liberia Ruth, and we are happy to have you with us 💜
