Today, May 28, the world observes World Menstrual Hygiene Day — a day that reminds us that menstruation is not a shameful experience, but a normal part of life that deserves dignity, education, and support.
At Hope Rising Heart Initiative, we believe menstrual support should go beyond one day of awareness or one-time pad distribution.
Periods happen every month. Support should happen all year.
Last year, we established two school-based Menstrual Pad Banks to provide girls with emergency menstrual pads, continued menstrual hygiene education, and school-based support throughout the year.
In just one year, this project helped reduce menstrual-related absenteeism by 15%.
This year, we are asking for your support to expand the Menstrual Pad Bank Project to 5 schools in rural Liberia. Our goal is to raise $3,500 to help provide pads, storage boxes/cabinets, menstrual hygiene education materials, school awareness sessions, community outreach, and follow-up support.
No girl should miss school because of her period.
No girl should feel ashamed because she menstruates.
No girl should be left behind because she cannot afford a pad.
Please donate, share, and help us build period-friendly schools where girls can learn with confidence, dignity, and hope all year round.
Donation details are on the flyer for Mobile Money and Bank Transfer.
Thank you for standing with the girls.
