LATSVSI Strengthens Collaboration with FIA on Scam Investigations

Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Anti-Trafficking and Scam Victims Support Initiative (LATSVSI) is strengthening its collaboration with the Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA) to combat scams, financial fraud, and money laundering.

LATSVSI is currently monitoring investigations into alleged scam activities that reportedly defrauded over 70,000 Liberians of millions of Liberian dollars, with five counties most affected.

To enhance coordination, LATSVSI paid a courtesy visit to the FIA yesterday to discuss information sharing and joint efforts to ensure a thorough investigation.

The institution commended the FIA for its integrity and professionalism, stating that through strengthened collaboration, victims will receive justice and those responsible will be held accountable under Liberian law.

LATSVSI reaffirmed its commitment to work with relevant stakeholders to protect victims and prevent financial fraud across Liberia.
