🇱🇷An Independent View

A few days ago, we came together to celebrate our Independence Day Celebration and this was a time that reminded us of our strength and unity as a country, even in these struggling times. Vast majority of our people during the celebration were filled with hope, reflecting on a dream for a better future for Liberia.

What was special about the 26 celebration?
On this special day, it was great to see many families offering delicious food and community members nicely shared meals with friends, families, neighborhoods, children and visitors. These acts of kindness show the good hearts of Liberians nationally and worldwide.

Fellow Liberians, as we look forward, we must work towards a Liberia where every citizen can easily meet their basic needs. We dream of a country where everyone can enjoy the rewards of their hard work throughout the year and not just on a national holiday.

Today, the appetite for a better life for all Liberians must be stronger than ever. Therefore, we must first implement productive policies that will improve the lives of our citizens. If we can ensure that 60 or 70 percent of our population has access to good jobs then we are making great progress as a nation.
Let’s work together and fight for the best!
