Global Crop Grower (GCG) pig farming is an innovative and creative business idea to uniquely breed top quality pig and supply of pork meats to consumers in order to meet the consumer’s health and nutritional needs as well as bring economic gains for over 2.5 million populations. pig farming business was established in 2021 in Kakata, Margibi County. We focus on breeding and raising landrace. GCG chose these breeds for top quality pork chops from landrace. Global Crops Grower pig farm has started the sales to local restaurants, households but plan to quickly ramp up to commercial production on large scale for distribution throughout Liberia. As a result of high demand for pork meats to replace the alarming contaminated meats imported which has been noted for its negative effect on the health situation of the population. GCG pig farms intend to bridge the demand – supply gap in the pork meats industry. BRIEF OVERVIEW:
Global Crops Grower is an innovative corporation established March 3, 2006, in Kakata, Margibi County. It was registered with the Government of Liberia in 2021. Due to the alarming food insecurity and high level of hunger in rural areas of Liberia and the imported 2,754 Barrels of contaminated pork meats reported by Ministry of Health in partnership with Ministry of Commerce and industry in January17, 2019 were brought into the country which put the citizen’s lives at risk. This drive Mr. Franklin G. Workor passion as an agriculture technician and get involved with pig farming, rearing of other important animals, production of food crops and cash crops in order to help meet our local nutritious meats and food needs that will contribute to healthy lives, nutrition, food security, jobs creation and incomes generation

GCG vision is to increase the production of piggery, other valuable animals and to continuously supply of hygienic high quality nutritious meats, locally produced food and improving the nutritional status of the growing population
