Sherman Claudius Sanwon, FLY Vice President, to Represent Liberia at 2026 SDG Summit
MONROVIA, LIBERIA — Liberian youth leadership is heading to the global stage as Hon Sherman Claudius Sanwon, Vice President for International Affairs at the Federation of Liberian Youth (FLY), prepares to represent Liberia at the Youth in Charge SDG Summit 2026 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Sanwon will join young leaders and changemakers from around the world at the December 10–12 summit, where participants will exchange ideas, build partnerships, and advance youth-driven solutions to sustainable development challenges.
His participation presents an opportunity to bring Liberia’s youth priorities, local innovations, and development concerns into international discussions.
The summit will focus on five key pillars: climate action, education, technology and artificial intelligence, tourism, and peace. Organizers say the gathering is designed to connect local initiatives with global opportunities under the theme, “Local Solutions, Global Impact.”
For Liberia, the summit offers a platform to strengthen international connections and showcase the potential of young people to contribute to national development and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Sanwon’s role as FLY’s Vice President for International Affairs places him at the intersection of youth advocacy and international engagement, with the summit providing an opportunity to build relationships with fellow youth leaders, entrepreneurs, and civil society actors.
Liberian youth, entrepreneurs, civil society organizations, and other changemakers interested in participating are encouraged to register.
