"The Problem
Liberian voters possess the constitutional power to elect their leaders, but they lack a functional, legally protected mechanism to hold them accountable between elections. When elected officials engage in corruption, neglect their constituencies, or violate their oaths of office, citizens are forced to wait years for the next electoral cycle. This lack of interim accountability breeds political apathy, deepens corruption, and weakens grassroots democracy. THE RECALL LAW is the medicine."
