🔴 PROTEST RESULT UPDATE 🔴

After the John Kofi Asmah filed a complain on Wednesday @15:00hrs that the Liberia Marketing Association (LMA Jr high school) of using illegal player.

OUR FINDINGS

Base on our investigation carry out on Friday proves that there was academic fraud.

The three players Abraham Weah (middle), Peter Wesseh commonly called GBK (Right) and Sampson W. Seah Jr. (Left) used by the Liberia Marketing Association LMA are indeed students of the Christ Foundation Preparatory School located Central Freeport.

Base on rule 2 of the competition, the LMA has been charged for

Therefore, the John Kofi Asmah UMS walks away with the points and are in the final of the competition.

The Grand Final is Friday May 20, 2022

🔴 PROTEST UPDATE 🔴

The John Kofi Asmah United Methodist School has filed in a complain against the Liberia Marketing Association (LMA Jr. High) for academic fraud (using illegitimate players) at the Semi Final of Inter-Jr. High School Quizzing Competition after suffering a defeat to LMA.

Rule one of the competition states that: Any school caught in the act of using illegitimate player and it is proven beyond reasona doubt, that school shall forfeit her points to the opponent.

JKAUMS complained that LMA used players that are attending the Christ Foundation Preparatory School in Freeport Community, Parco Yard.

Meanwhile, the situation is before our grievances and ethics committee for investigation.

If it is proven that LMA used illegitimate player than JKAUMS will play Newport Jr. High School in the Final but if it is not, LMA will play Newport Jr. High School in the final.

The public and schools involved are asked to remain calm as the matter is undergoing thorough investigation.

The Grand Final is Friday May 20, 2022 @ the West Point Town Hall

President Weah Declares Three Days of National Mourning After New Kru Town Tragedy

President George M. Weah declared a 3-day state of National Mourning following the tragic and heavy loss of lives in a stampede in New Kru Town outside Monrovia.

The incident is reported to have taken place during an open-air church service in the area.

The President has ordered that the national ensign be flown at half-mast at all public buildings throughout the Republic while the nation mourns.

Full details of the tragedy are still emerging.

The President is disheartened by such a national calamity.

The President has mandated the police to conduct a full-scale investigation to ascertain whether or not there is criminal culpability. He urged the authorities of the LNP to ensure the investigation is speedy and thorough, saying that anyone found liable will be dealt with by the law.

The Liberian leader has also called on health authorities, including the Liberian National Red Cross and the Disaster Management Agency, to assist with treatment and recovery efforts.

President Weah has conveyed his deepest sympathies to the families of the bereaved while thanking all those who provided help to the victims in the immediate aftermath of the stampede.

Meanwhile, the dedication ceremony of the new Duala Market which was to be performed by the President today has been postponed indefinitely in deference to the deceased.

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭Sad day in New Kru Town as it is alleged that 30 people was discovered dead after a gang attack a group of people at a crusade hosted by one of Liberia famous pastor Abraham Kromah of the More Grace Ministry.

At least 30 persons have reportedly died while others are in critical conditions at the Redemption Hospital in the Borough of Kru-town, District #16, Montserrado County as a result of stampede.

The situation occured on Wednesday evening, January 19, 2021 minutes after a crusade which was attended by thousand of residents.

Information coming in says 11 kids and 17 adults have been confirmed dead at the government hospital on the Bushrod Island.

Attendees of the crusade were heading home from the D. Twe Sports Pitch where the crusade was held when some disadvantaged youths otherwise called 'zogos' reportedly began harassing them, something that causes the stampede.
