Theme: Breaking the Chains: Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery for All!
Today, June 26, 2025, the world observes the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT). This annual observance, established by a United Nations General Assembly resolution, aims to strengthen global action and foster cooperation to achieve a world free from drug abuse.
As a youth-led NGO, Inspiring Youth -Liberia Inc. reaffirms its collective commitment to end drug abuse and illicit trafficking across communities in Liberia.
We call on families, schools, the Liberian Government, and civil society organizations to take proactive steps in promoting education, prevention, and rehabilitation. Let us invest in mental health, create safe spaces for dialogue, and empower our youth with the strength to say NO to drugs and YES to life.
Drug abuse is not a personal problem — it is a public health crisis. It breaking homes, destroying dreams, and silencing the potential of our brightest minds. As we mark this important day, let us raise our voices, raise awareness, and renew our commitment to building a healthier, drug-free society.
Say no to drugs — your life matters. Your future is worth it.
