FORMAL INVITATION TO INTELLECTUAL DIALOGUE AND PUBLIC DEBATE

Subject: Invitation to an Intellectual Debate on Issues and Challenges Currently at Hand
Dear Hon. Joseph Jimmy Sankatuah and Amb. Levi Page,
The Kakata Intellectual Forum-KAIF extends its compliments and respectfully invites both of you to an intellectual dialogue and public debate aimed at addressing, clarifying, and constructively discussing issues and challenges currently engaging the attention of the Liberian public.
The Forum has taken note of the recent public exchanges between you, particularly the challenges and counter-challenges concerning matters of educational background, academic records, personal claims, and other issues raised in the public space.
Specifically, Hon. Joseph Jimmy Sankatuah has challenged Amb. Levi Page to provide evidence relating to his educational background, including photographs with his high school classmates, an admission letter, and second-semester academic records from his current university, if applicable.
In response, Amb. Levi Page has challenged Hon. Joseph Jimmy Sankatuah to publicly address questions concerning allegations and claims involving the pregnancies of his sisters-in-law.
While the Kakata Intellectual Forum does not seek to endorse or prejudge the claims made by either party, the Forum believes that issues of public interest are better addressed through facts, evidence, responsible dialogue, and intellectual engagement rather than prolonged exchanges of accusations and counter-accusations.
Accordingly, KAIF is extending this invitation to both of you (Hon. Sankatuah and Amb. Page) to appear before an impartial intellectual audience and address the issues in a respectful, transparent, and evidence-based manner.
The proposed intellectual engagement is intended to:
1. Provide both parties an equal opportunity to present their positions and evidence;
2. Clarify issues that have generated public interest and discussion;
3. Encourage responsible public discourse and intellectual accountability;
4. Discourage personal attacks, misinformation, and unsubstantiated allegations;
5. Promote truth, civility, and constructive engagement among Liberians; and
6. Demonstrate that disagreements can be resolved through reasoned dialogue and evidence.
The Forum encourages both parties to come prepared with verifiable documents, records, and other relevant evidence to substantiate their respective claims and responses.
KAIF further emphasizes that the proposed debate is not intended to humiliate, condemn, or prosecute either participant, but rather to provide a platform where contentious issues can be examined openly and responsibly.
We therefore respectfully request your acceptance of this invitation and look forward to your participation in what we hope will be a thought-provoking, respectful, and intellectually enriching public engagement.
Kindly confirm your availability and preferred date so that the Forum can proceed with the necessary arrangements and establish appropriate rules and modalities for the debate.
