Your Excellency, the President of the Republic of Liberia, Deputy Minister, MOL, Honorable Government Officials, Traditional Leaders, Religious Leaders, Development Partners, Fellow Youth of Maryland County, Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen:

Good day to you all.

It is with great honor and immense joy that I stand before you today on behalf of the Maryland Youth Association (MYA) and the entire youth population of our county to extend our heartfelt congratulations and warm welcome to Hon. Nathaniel Semoda Toe Jr. on his induction as Superintendent of Maryland County.

Today marks not only the beginning of a new chapter in the leadership of our county but also a renewed opportunity for unity, progress, accountability, and inclusive development. Honorable Superintendent, the youth of Maryland respectfully appeal to your leadership to prioritize youth empowerment through job creation, vocational and technical education, entrepreneurship support, quality education, sports development, and greater youth participation in decision-making. Investing in young people is the surest investment in the future of Maryland County.
We also encourage stronger collaboration among the county administration, local government, civil society, traditional leaders, development partners, and the youth to address the challenges confronting our communities. Together, we can build a county where every young person has the opportunity to succeed and contribute meaningfully to national development.
On behalf of the Maryland Youth Association, I assure you that we remain ready to work with your administration in the spirit of dialogue, mutual respect, and shared responsibility. We believe that together we can transform challenges into opportunities and aspirations into achievements.
As we celebrate this important occasion, let us put aside our differences and unite behind a common vision of peace, reconciliation, and sustainable development. The progress of Maryland County depends on our collective commitment to work together for the common good.
