EMPOWERING FUTURES: WEEK II SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED WITH MODULE 1 ASSESSMENT

YARD-Liberia Inc., the administration of Harbel Multilateral High School and TVET Coordinator, are excited to report steady progress in the European Union in Liberia -funded skills training program being implemented by UNIDO - United Nations Industrial Development Organization for 20 out-of-school youths.

At the end of Week II which was yesterday, students have successfully completed Module 1 and undertook an assessment test to evaluate their understanding in safety rules and other beginning knowledge in practical skills in Electrical Installations. This marks a strong step forward in their three-month journey toward acquiring hands-on technical expertise.

The training is currently taking place at the Harbel Multilateral High School TVET Center, where participants are being equipped with essential knowledge and practical competencies to enhance their employability and self-reliance.

This initiative is a collaborative effort coordinated by the school’s administration, the TVET Coordinator, and YARD-Liberia, Inc., ensuring quality delivery and impactful learning outcomes.

We extend appreciation to our dedicated facilitators, Mr. Thomas Kaykai and Mr. Siaffa A. Tellewoyan, for their commitment to guiding these young minds through the fundamentals of electrical installation.

As the training progresses, we remain committed to empowering youth with skills that transform lives and build stronger communities.

EXCITEMENT FILLS THE AIR AS OUT-OF-SCHOOL YOUTHS EMBRACE ELECTRICAL TRAINING IN HARBEL

The ongoing Electrical Installation Training at the Harbel Multilateral TVET Center has been met with great enthusiasm, as 20 out-of-school youths from surrounding communities actively engage in hands-on learning and skills development.

Earlier yesterday, our Executive Director, Amb Dennis Kromah Page II, was featured on Voice of Firestone by Cedrick Quoi Jones, where he provided key insights into the training initiative. He highlighted the strong commitment of participants, noting their excitement and readiness to gain practical knowledge that will empower them for future opportunities.

The discussion also underscored the successful delivery of essential training materials by our implementing partner, UNIDO - United Nations Industrial Development Organization, ensuring that participants have the tools needed for effective learning.

This impactful initiative is funded by the European Union in Liberia, with YARD-Liberia Inc., Inc. working in close collaboration with the administration of Harbel Multilateral High School and the Accelerated Vocational Training Program (AVTP) Coordinator to ensure proper monitoring, coordination, and overall success of the program.

As the training continues, the energy and determination shown by these young participants reflect a promising path toward skills empowerment and community transformation.
