In 2022, we organized a one-day career coaching session at the Harbel Multilateral High School gymnasium, designed to inspire and equip students for future professional opportunities. The event featured a diverse lineup of speakers, including representatives from the U.S. Embassy near Monrovia, IREX, the Liberia Bar Association, the Liberia National Police, the former President of Harbel College, the Principal of Harbel Multilateral High School, nurses, and other professionals. Each speaker shared personal experiences, practical advice, and guidance on career planning, goal setting, and professional development. The students were actively engaged through interactive discussions, Q&A sessions, and mentorship opportunities, allowing them to explore different career paths and gain insights into the skills and dedication required for success. The program not only broadened their horizons but also motivated them to take concrete steps toward achieving their academic and professional aspirations, leaving a lasting impact on their personal growth and future ambitions.

We had a fun-filled day of outreach with the children at the Dolo Town Health Centre. The event was not only enjoyable but also a meaningful opportunity to engage with the kids, share smiles, and create memorable experiences. From interactive games to learning activities, every moment was filled with laughter and joy. It was truly an amazing day that strengthened our connection with the community and left a lasting impression on both the children and our team.

We had the privilege of sharing an inspiring and uplifting moment with the children, emphasizing the importance of having faith in God and believing in their own potential. The event aimed to motivate students to pursue their dreams with confidence and resilience, reminding them that their actions today shape the leaders of tomorrow. Distinguished motivational speakers enriched the program with their insights and personal experiences. They included Mr. Eddie D. Jarwolo, Executive Director of NAYmote, who spoke on leadership and civic responsibility; Mr. James Mulbah, RIA Manager, who encouraged discipline and goal-setting; and HH Zaizai, former Executive Director of the President’s Young Professionals Program (PYPP), who shared practical advice on self-development and community engagement. The combined wisdom and encouragement from these speakers left a lasting impression on the students, inspiring them to take charge of their lives, make positive choices, and aim high in both education and personal growth.

Our project focused on raising awareness about r**e and sexual violence, emphasizing the protection of women and children in Margibi and Montserrado counties. We engaged key stakeholders, including the Firestone Workers Association, community leaders from ten Harbel communities, and local political and spiritual leaders such as Hon. Ivar K. Jones, Representative of District 2, and the head pastor of Providence Baptist Church, the historic site where Liberia’s Declaration of Independence was signed in 1847.
As part of our outreach, we visited 15 schools, including CWA, SDA, St. Pius X Catholic School, Harbel Multilateral High, and Firestone Liberia School, reaching over 7,000 students from elementary to senior high. Students were educated on women’s rights and the importance of protecting girls from all forms of violence. We also distributed flyers and stickers in schools, churches, markets, and neighborhoods, ensuring our message reached a broad audience.
To amplify our impact, we partnered with the Liberia National Students Union, Public Health Initiative, Liberia National Debate Team, Youth for Change, the Liberia National Children’s Parliament, and leading media institutions such as ELBC, Ok FM, Radio Maria, and Voice of Firestone. These collaborations allowed us to engage communities, broadcast messages nationally, and promote continuous dialogue on women’s rights and health.
The initiative culminated in an indoor program with 150 student ambassadors from five schools. Health clubs were established in these schools to provide ongoing platforms for students to discuss health issues, monitor progress, and lead peer education. Through these efforts, our project fostered awareness, leadership, and community action to ensure lasting protection and empowerment for women and girls.

As part of our awareness campaign, we held meetings with key local leaders, including the Representative of District 2, Margibi County, Hon. Ivar K. Jones, and the head pastor of Providence Baptist Church—the historic church where Liberia’s Declaration of Independence was signed in 1847. These engagements provided an opportunity to discuss collaborative strategies for preventing sexual violence and promoting the protection of women and girls in the community. By involving both political and spiritual leaders, we emphasized that safeguarding women and children is a shared responsibility that transcends all sectors of society.

We also collaborate with some of Liberia’s leading media institutions to strengthen our awareness campaigns on women’s rights and the protection of girls from sexual violence. Our media partners include ELBC, Ok FM, Radio Maria, Voice of Firestone, and several others. Through radio programs, interviews, and public service announcements, these partnerships allow us to reach a broader audience, ensuring that our messages are heard not only in schools and communities but across the nation. By leveraging the power of media, we aim to educate, inform, and inspire action among the general public to create safer environments for women and girls.

To amplify the reach and impact of our awareness campaign, we partnered with key organizations and stakeholders across Liberia. These include the Liberia National Students Union, which oversees all student unions in both private and public schools; the Public Health Initiative; the Liberia National Debate Team; Youth for Change; the Liberia National Children’s Parliament; and several other community and youth-focused organizations. Through these partnerships, we were able to engage a wider audience, coordinate activities more effectively, and ensure that our messages about protecting women and girls from all forms of violence reached every corner of the communities we serve.

We also conducted visits to 15 schools across Margibi and Montserrado counties, including CWA, SDA, St. Pius X Catholic School, Harbel Multilateral High (both junior and senior levels), Firestone Liberia School, and several others. Collectively, these schools have a student population of over 7,000, ranging from elementary to senior high. During these visits, we engaged students and staff in meaningful discussions about the importance of respecting women’s and girls’ rights and ensuring their protection from all forms of violence.
Beyond schools, our awareness campaign extended into the heart of the communities. We moved through local markets, visited vendors, and went from one street to another, speaking directly with residents and sharing informational materials such as flyers and stickers. This hands-on approach allowed us to reach a broad audience, reinforcing the message that the protection and empowerment of women and girls is a responsibility shared by everyone in the community.

Our team designed informational flyers and stickers carrying strong messages about protecting women and girls from all forms of violence. These materials were distributed widely across schools, churches, and communities to raise awareness and reinforce the importance of safeguarding women and children. By combining direct community engagement with educational outreach, we aimed to create a lasting impact and encourage collective action against sexual violence.
