Greetings to all our beloved community residents, family members and loved ones....

Please be informed that the wake-keeping for our former Chairman, Mr. Nathaniel N. Giko, will be held tomorrow at the family residence in Day Break Mouth Open Community.

The candlelight procession will also take place tomorrow. Community members and family who are available are asked to assemble at the Day Break Mouth Open Community Junction, where we will march with a banner to the family residence.

We kindly encourage all well-meaning community residents to come out and join us as we pay our final respects to our late former Chairman.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Doe Juah Memorial Methodist Church, opposite the JJY Football Field, along the main road. The service will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m.

Please note that another ceremony is scheduled at the church after the funeral service. As a result, the family may have limited time to receive tributes on Saturday.

If you wish to pay your tribute or spend more time with the family, you are encouraged to do so during the wake-keeping, when there will be more opportunity to offer your condolences.

Thank you all for your usual cooperation and support. May the soul of our former Chairman rest in perfect peace.

DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Leadership and Residents of the Day Break Mouth Open Community announce the untimely passing of our former Chairman, Mr. Nathaniel N. Giko 😭

Today, our community has lost a dedicated leader, a mentor, and a man who served with commitment and passion for the growth and well-being of our people. His leadership, wisdom, and contributions to the development of our community will forever remain in our hearts and memories.

At this difficult time, the circumstances surrounding his passing are not yet known. Nevertheless, we join together in mourning the loss of a man who gave so much of himself in service to others.

Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathies go out to his beloved wife, children, relatives, friends, and the entire bereaved family. We pray that God grants them strength, comfort, and peace as they navigate this painful loss.

To our departed former Chairman, Mr. Nathaniel N. Giko, thank you for your service, your leadership, and the legacy you leave behind. Your memory will continue to inspire us, and your impact on our community will never be forgotten.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.

The leadership sincerely extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who set aside their busy schedules to attend the official opening ceremony of the THT Bridge Project yesterday. Though we may not mention each person by name, please know that we deeply appreciate your presence and support.

Yesterday, Melvin and his dad finally had the opportunity to meet his longtime friend, Senator Abe Darius Dillon, at his office. It was a beautiful and memorable moment.
