25 Years of Impact. Purpose. Transformation.

With hearts full of gratitude, we celebrate a historic milestone, 25 years of the Jewel Starfish Foundation. By God’s grace and the unwavering commitment of our partners, donors, staff, volunteers, and board, we have educated, mentored, and empowered vulnerable girls across Liberia, helping them grow into confident women, professionals, and leaders.

From safe spaces, scholarships, and life-skills training to strong partnerships that believe in the power of the girl child, our journey has been one of resilience, integrity, and lasting impact.

A proud highlight of this anniversary was the graduation of the first cohort from the JSF STEM Lab, a bold step into the future, equipping girls with digital, ICT, and innovation skills to thrive in science, technology, and entrepreneurship.

As we honor the past, we are energized for the next five years: expanding scholarships and mentorship, scaling STEM and digital literacy, investing in sustainable initiatives, empowering mothers and caregivers, and improving safe, dignified learning spaces.

This celebration is more than a milestone, it’s a renewed call to action.
To our founders, partners, donors, volunteers, staff, and the incredible girls who are the heartbeat of JSF, thank you.

Together, we celebrate the journey, engage the future, and build momentum for even greater impact.
Here’s to the next chapter. Here’s to educating her and securing her future.

The Jewel Starfish Foundation stands with girls and women across Liberia and around the world as we raise our voices against all forms of violence. For the next 16 days, we commit to awareness, advocacy, and action—because every girl deserves safety, dignity, and the chance to thrive.

Together, we can break the silence.
Together, we can create change.
Together, we can end GBV. 💪🏾✨

🌍 Breaking Barriers, Empowering Lives! 🌍
Theme: “Ensuring No One is Left Behind”

Yesterday was a moment of transformation and triumph at the Christian Association of the Blind (CAB) in Margibi County, as students, graduates, and educators gathered for the first-ever Training of Trainers on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) tailored specifically for the blind and visually impaired.

This landmark event was a resounding success, attended by Mr. Beyan Kota, head of CAB, who stood proudly among his students witnessing history unfold.

✨ Sponsored by the Jewel Starfish Foundation, this training was a bold step forward in fulfilling the promise of inclusive health education—making sure that no one is left behind. The energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm of the students were truly inspiring.

🧠 The training was based on key topics from the UNFPA Comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health Facilitator’s Manual, which has now been published in Braille thanks to the visionary leadership of Her Excellency Madame Jewel Howard Taylor and the generous support of UNFPA.

The training was delivered by the dedicated team from the Center for Healthcare Education, Research and Innovation (C.H.E.R.I.), who used inclusive methods to create a safe, interactive, and engaging learning environment.

Special thanks to:
• UNFPA Liberia for their unwavering support in making SRH education accessible to underserved communities
• TNIMA School of Nursing and Midwifery for providing the manikin, which gave participants a hands-on, tactile experience during the training

This wasn’t just a workshop. It was a revolution in health education—a day when vision met action, and inclusion became reality.

Let’s continue working together to ensure that every young person, regardless of ability, has access to the knowledge and skills to live healthy, empowered lives.
