FEN-Africa Cassava Farm is confirmed!
Congratulations to us at FEN-Africa!
We are pleased to inform the public that our application to the 2025 Global Youth Mobilisation through the Youth Empowerment Fund (YEF) was accepted and approved. 👏👏👏
FEN-Africa is about to embark on a project titled "FEN-Africa Cassava Farm". With our primary focus on Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, this initiative aims to promote inclusive economic growth by engaging in the Cassava value chain, which includes providing training and resources for youth and women aged 14-30.
This project will provide economic opportunities for high school drop-out girls, marginalized youths, and single parents (women) in Sappimah Town, Bopolu District, Gbarpolu County, Liberia.
Through their participation in the cultivation and processing of Cassava locally, but in an environmentally friendly and more organized way, we believe that our project will contribute to food security and poverty reduction, promoting gender equality and women's empowerment. It will also help to improve post-harvest handling; increase the productivity and income of small-scale Cassava farmers; and increase their passion for modern farming techniques.
As you may be aware, Cassava is one of the staple crops in Liberia with high demand and market potential both locally and internationally.
