🌿 Malaria & Dengue Prevention – Environmental Clean-Up Initiative! 🌿
Under the valuable guidance and supervision of Vector Borne Disease Control Unit (AMC Unit) - Kalmunai, Dr. S.I. Mohamed Kabeer, a clean-up program for the fish breeding tank located at the Karaitivu MOH Office premises was successfully carried out today.
The primary objective of this initiative is to control and prevent the breeding of malaria-carrying and malaria,dengue-transmitting mosquitoes. By maintaining larvivorous fish (fish that consume mosquito larvae) in these tanks, we can effectively curb mosquito reproduction and protect our community from vector-borne diseases.
🤝 "A Clean Environment – A Healthy Society"
We kindly urge the public to keep your home and office surroundings clean, eliminate potential mosquito breeding sites, and cooperate with us in safeguarding public health!
