Australian film "Stone Cold Justice" on Israel’s torture of Palestinian children"

A film which has been produced by a group of Australian journalists has sparked an international outcry against Israel after it explicitly detailed Tel Aviv's use of torture against Palestinian children.
The film, titled ‘Stone Cold Justice’ documents how Palestinian children, who have been arrested and detained by Israeli forces, are subjected to physical abuse, torture and forced into false confessions and pushed into gathering intelligence on Palestinian activists. Australia's foreign minister Julie Bishop has spoken out against Israeli's use of torture stating that “I am deeply concerned by allegations of the mistreatment of Palestinian children,” Israel's Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor has described the human rights abuses documented in the film as “intolerable”. But rights groups have slammed this statement, saying that the Israelis are doing nothing to change Tel Aviv's policy to torture Palestinian children. Last year a report by the United Nations International Emergency Children's Fund or UNICEF concluded that Palestinian children are often targeted in night arrests and raids of their homes, threatened with death and subjected to physical violence, solitary confinement and sexual assault. The film Stone Cold Justice has sparked an international outcry about Israel's treatment of children in Israeli jails. However, rights groups have criticized Tel Aviv for not doing anything to create a policy that protects Palestinian children against arbitrary arrest and torture."-MFH

ஒரு வரலாற்று பதிவாக நோக்கப்படும் துருக்கித் தொப்பிப் போராட்டம் வெறுமனே ஒரு தொப்பிக்கான போராட்டமல்ல..
அது ஒரு சிந்தனைப் போராட்டம்..

அன்று தொப்பி யுடன் நீதிமன்றுக்குள் நுழைந்த சட்டத்தரணி ஏசீஏ காதர் நினைத்திருந்தால், நீதிபதியின் கட்டளைக்கு ஏற்ப "தொப்பியாவது வெங்காயமாவது", எனக்கு எனது வழக்கு தான் முக்கியம் என்று தொப்பியை கழட்டி வைத்து விட்டிருந்திருக்கலாம்..

தமது சமூகத்தின் மீதான வன்முறைகளின் தோற்றுவாயாக இத்தடை இருந்து விடக்கூடாது என்பதற்காகத்தானா ஒரு மாபெரும் சாத்வீக போராட்டத்தை நடத்தினர். அதன் மூலம் அந்த உரிமையை அவர்(கள்) வென்றெடுத்தார்.

திருமலை சண்முகா இந்து கல்லூரியின் அபாயா விவகாரமும் இது போன்ற ஒரு கண்ணோட்டத்தில் பார்க்கப்பட வேண்டியது தான்.

ஆசிரியை பஹ்மிதா நினைத்திருந்தால் இந்த வேண்டாத வேலை நமக்கு எதற்கு என்று ஏனைய இரண்டு ஆசிரியைகள் போல இடமாற்றம் பெற்று வேறொரு பாடசாலையில் பணியாற்றி இருக்கலாம்...

அதிபர் உள்ளிட்ட ஆசிரியர்களின் கடும் எதிர்ப்பு...

மாணவர்களின் எதிர்ப்பும் ஆர்ப்பாட்டமும்..

பெற்றோர்கள் தொடர்ச்சியான எதிர்ப்பு..

எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் மேலாக ஒரு தீவிரவாத குழுவின் அச்சுறுத்தல்...

நீங்க விட்டுக் கொடுக்க வேண்டாம் நாம் பின்னால் இருக்கிறோம் என்று ஆயிரம் பேர் தான் ஆதரவு கொடுத்தாலும்,

சமூகத்தின் மீதான அலாதி அக்கறையும், அசாத்திய துணிச்சலும் இல்லாமல் இந்த போராட்டம் சாத்தியமே இல்லை..
அதனை சிறப்பாக செய்து முடித்திருக்கிறார் நமது ஆசிரியை.

தனக்கு பக்கபலமாக இருப்பார்கள் என்று நினைத்திருந்த மற்றைய இரண்டு ஆசிரியைகளும் விலகிக் கொண்ட நிலையில் தனியாக நின்று தான் சார்ந்த சமூகத்தின் உரிமையை வென்றெடுத்த பஹ்மிதா ஆசிரியையின் இந்த போராட்டம் வரலாற்றில் வைர வரிகளால் பதியப்பட வேண்டியதே...
