We’re back 💚

After a meaningful first year of Micro-Grants — 12 grants, countless learnings, and the chance to meet incredible individuals and organisations doing real, on-the-ground work — applications are open once again for 2026/2027.

Our biggest learning - the power of grassroots. People who truly understand their communities — and know how to create impact, even with limited resources.

This work may feel small, but we've seen first hand how it makes a real difference in people’s lives.

As we continue to learn and grow our network across the island, we’d love for you to be part of it!

Real impact happens at the community level. 🤝

In 2025, we launched the S*F Micro Grant program with the goal of providing direct support to community-led projects that empower women, uplift children, and champion sustainability.

Over the year we committed our support to 11 projects that are doing exactly that. Whether it’s breaking down stigmas around menstrual health, helping women in Nuwara Eliya find their collective voice, or teaching preschool kids how to lead a plastic-free life, these initiatives are where real impact happens.

We have seen everything from interactive robotics sessions to sustainable mushroom production units getting off the ground. It’s been an incredible first chapter, but there is so much more to do. Swipe through to see these projects in action. ➡️

Last December we held our first networking session for our Women Entrepreneurs - WE 1.0

The S*F Festive Speed Networking event gave our WE 1.0 participants the opportunity to network with established entrepreneurs and business people in their fields.

The concept, based on speed dating, was a fun way for our participants and guests to get to know each other quickly!
