With Heavy Hearts, We Mourn the Loss of Dr. Jayawardhana

A brilliant historian, a fearless advocate, and a beacon of wisdom—Dr. Jayawardhana dedicated her life to the pursuit of knowledge and justice. She was not just an academic but a warrior for educational reform, standing at the forefront of FUTA’s historic 2012 movement, sacrificing her own possessions for the cause she so deeply believed in.

Her kindness, resilience, and unwavering dedication touched countless lives. Today, as we bid farewell, let us hold her in our thoughts and prayers, remembering the remarkable life she led and the sacrifices she made for a better future.
