On May 21, 2026, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Colombo Branch, with the generous support of the Hong Kong Red Cross, carried out a School Kits Distribution Programme in the Seethawaka and Kaduwela Divisional Secretariat areas, reaching students affected by the recent floods.

This programme is part of an ongoing effort to distribute 4,300 school kits across the Colombo District, benefiting nearly 45 schools and ensuring children can continue their education without interruption.

In the aftermath of the disaster, many students lost their essential school supplies. Through this initiative, we aim to restore those essentials and help them return to school with confidence and dignity. ❤️📖

We were also honored by the presence of representatives from the Hong Kong Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), and the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, whose participation further strengthened this meaningful initiative. 🤝

✨ Together with our partners, we remain committed to uplifting communities supporting children to learn, grow, and build a brighter future. ✨

Every child empowered. Every future supported. Every effort counts.
This is the Sri Lanka Red Cross in action. ❤️
